I'm a freakin' 47 year old man and I recently had my third Prince related dream. The dreams which began in my early 20's are never sexual - purely just me meeting my musical idol and having a cool one-on-one and talking music.

I'm a nuts or do other orgers on occassion have this happen?

I have had a couple of dreams about him, savoury and less savoury too, haha, often in very absurd situations. Like the one I had about going skiing with him and Mayte during the gold era. I forget a lot of my dreams though sadly.

Yeah, sure. I have pretty vivid dreams on most nights and he's been in them quite a few times. They're not been very long and there's been a minimal amount of interaction with him in them. Sometimes he just appears on a TV, or something like that.

I've also had his songs "playing in the background" when I've had dreams that have not him showing up in them as a person. "Beginning Endlessly" and "When Doves Cry" come to mind in that regard. I've also had a weird "mash up" of "I Could Never Take Place Of Your Man" and "Dancing On My Own" by the Swedish singer Robyn come to me in one of my dreams (Robyn has covered a few of his songs, so that's probably the connection). When I woke up from that one I had to walk to a keyboard and tried to figure out how to play it.

Yes, I've had dreams about Prince. Mainly very spiritual in nature.

I feel like I've had more that I can't recall atm, but one that sticks out from years ago was one I had when I was in a mall and saw a huge sign that said "PRINCE IS HERE". I rushed there and he had his 2009/10/11 hairdo, sunglasses, and a gold outfit with a cane. His bodyguards were John Stamos and Big Chick. I never got to meet him though

In the late 80's and 90s, I had dreams almost every year about going to the record store and buying and listening to a new Prince album before it really came out. I'd think, "Man these songs are cool!" Then I'd wake up and not remember how the songs went.

I often worndered if the songs in my dreams were really any good or not.

Most of the dreams were of a playful natured Prince and were pretty simple for the most part. Like hanging out together, and being close like friends who knew each other. I remember one that he picked me up in his limo, which was a surprise and lots of fun and goofing around. I must have had at least a dozen and some felt so real that I'd wake up. They always gave me a good feeling except once when a serious mood prevailed and communication was stifled. I haven't had one recently, either they stopped, I don't remember them or unintentional day dreaming fills the bill.

As a follow up, two nights ago I had my first Prince protege dream I was introducing Vanity to a bunch of party guests

Yeah i had a dream Prince was crazy in LOVE with me, i kid you not. I hated to even wake up, o I loved him too, of course. Sweet

Have them quite a bit, again never sexual as I do not fancy him. Usually Prince is playing a concert at some way out community hall in New Zealand or a hard to get to gig. In the dream I can hardly ever get to the show until its finished and I always want to meet Prince but never do. Usually I end up shaking his hand which is always limp and watching him sing his ass off.

In one dream I was the head of the NZ official Prince fan welcoming chapter and had to make sure he go to the Horopito community hall in time for the show. Before anything happened I was wakened by the cat jumping on the bed. She is locked out most nights now!

i often dream i am in a record store and his new album is out, so i listen to it at the counter. i can actually hear the stuff, lyrics and all... and it is so good.

when i wake up, i know i heard fantastic music, but i cannot remember.

Since the early 80's I have averaged about 1-2 dreams per year with him. In some, he is coming to town for a show; in a few I got to watch him perform; one with him and Mayte; a few where I was just watching him interact with others, wanting to talk with him. I've had a handful of dreams where I could hear a Prince song, only to wake up and realize that the song, which sounded authentically penned by P. (and very good!), did not exist in real life.

Best of any I've ever had was a very brief, simple dream by a beach, where I was walking a canopied open-air corridor with unknown passersby, and ran into P. at the intersection with another corridor. He was wearing a black outfit and sunglasses (must have dreamed this during the symbol album era). He recognized me as soon as he saw me, threw his arms wide with a big sunny smile, and let me come in for a big ole' hug. I was so happy, I woke up smiling.

reminded me of a combination of Dirty Mind & SOTT
I should have written it down, I don't remember much more now

From time to time. It's always the same - we're at Prince's private studio, and we're going to jam together. But I always wake up before a single note is played.

My dream the other night was that I was a finalist in a contest to see/meet Prince backstage at SNL. He had seen the candidates and decided he wanted to meet me in person anyways. In my dream I lived in my parents basement and was very embarassed that he was going to see me in that environment. Anyways we hit it off and he asked me to see him on June 30th for a date....I am going to be out of country and was losing my mind that I could possibly miss this.

Anyways, he was hysterical and cracking jokes but also giving me Princely advice....something about not always chasing the "swan in the mirror".

My bf didn't like the dream so much since I was willing to drop him quick for my shot at Prince haha

I know, right? I'm all like 'why did I have to wake up NOW?'

I dream sometimes Prince is gonna play in a very little place, like a small room with some chairs here and there. I wait for the show for all the day and usually I lost the show for some reason.

I've had lots of them. Usually, they're concert-related - and he's always playing someplace strange. Like under a viaduct in Minneapolis or at a dinky little VFW (complete with wood paneling in the hall).

Some of them are hilarious, though. Like the time I went to his house, which had a 70s-style kitchen (right down to the avocado green refrigerator). He said, "You must be hungry after your trip. Can I fix you something to eat?" So to test his vegan-ness, I said, "I'd like a peanut butter and bacon sandwich, please." He got this shifty look and said, "Y'know...I like those, too. But don't tell anyone."

And most recently, I saw him somewhere and told him about the bursitis I had in my hip. I thought he might sympathize, given his own hip problems. He said absolutely nothing, just offered me a can of Diet Coke. And it wasn't even cold. Uhhh...thanks?

In the early 90ies I had a prince dream that I will never forget. I saw him coming into the dressing room after a concert, showering, removing the make-up and changing clothes. And underneath all his make up and fake hair he was a white man with red hair and he was speaking dutch.
