What did prince do in 2005?

Almost no information on princevault, only one-off private residence shows with no setlists uploaded.

What did P do in 2005 other than NAACP? I'm curious...

Wrote a ton of songs, and filmed the 3121 movie.

Remember, the 3121 sessions not only yielded that album, but material that would later end up on Lotusflow3r as well.

Not much. One of his quietest years, for sure. It was probably the first year I recall thinking that he was starting to slow down. And since then, these 'off years' have become a bit more regular. Fair enough.

Here are a few other 2005 highlights:

* "Glass Cutter" was released.

* "SST" and "Brand New Orleans" were released.

* "Te Amo Corazon" single/video was released.

* He was playing semi-regular private shows at his residence in Beverley Hills (dubbed '3121, Mulholland').

* He guested on stage at a Stevie Wonder show in May.

* Stevie Wonder's "So What the Fuss", that featured Prince, was released.

* I remember hearing somewhere that 3121 was originally planned for a late 2005 release, but was delayed due to Hurricane Katrina.

He knew it was my last year living in Minneapolis, so he said "fuck you KS, there will be no Prince events here!"

I was thinking about starting a thread with the same question! You beat me to it.

Really, Prince laid pretty low in 2005 as far as concerts and music releases. Compare to any of the years in recent history and it's shocking that the only live performance is the one TV performance at the NAACP awards show! Wonder what he was doing, thinking, planning (other than 3121) that year that kept him so busy? We know he wasn't on vacation. Maybe the 3121 movie that was never released?

I'd like to add that whatever he did, it was the way the hell cooler than what I did in 2005.

At minimum he had a couple of jamba juices and took a couple of dumps. Maybe got some shit on his finger. George had been telling him it was funky...

Well he released the 'Te Amo Corazon' single and 'SST / New Orleans'. This is actually still a lot considering he had just finished one of the busiest years of his career (2004)

Maybe eye do, just not like eye did before pimp2
