I just listened to Pretzlbodylogic again. Holy shit! So good.

Holy Shit indeed. These versions are amazing and show how good the song should have been, wish there was a studio version of this arrangement. Same goes for the arrangements of FunkNRoll, God, if ony he was still doing maxi-single versions. Wow live too is shit hot - hope he plays some of the other recent album tracks too!

.

So recently we've had pbl, fnr, breakdown, clouds, plec elec, wow, what if, baltimore ... marz and another love if you count SNL, would you include ex's face, when it's only been a few seconds, also weren't there a few seconds of u know? Did I miss any? Would make a nice little EP of newer stuff live anyway...but which versions? If I have time I'll get back to thee!

.

Does his voice sound a little gruff in this? A bit more gravelly? Still. These boots are fantastic!!

I blame the two shows a night for the gruffness in his voice, last year in the UK his voice was sounding really strong, but he didn't do a lot of that 2,shows a night rubbish

I wish Plectrumelectrum had managed to capture more of this energy in the studio.

I need to make a playlist with live versions of new songs. This shit is fantastic.

I like the new shows also.and he as been playing more energy in the 3rd eye era.Alot of the earlier negatively was I think from people who decide how good show is by looking at a set list or 80s only fans
Keep your small club 88, Birthday show 84. I prefer these new rock style shows.

This. The album lacks this kind of fire & urgency ....not a fan so much of PBL but it kicks ass here and Wow is amazing.

Sorry if this has been asked and/or answered before but will they drop the 2nd show from the 1st night?

WOW sounds fantastic with the backup singers. A modern classic, I say. I feel like they should get another album together, so they have some stronger rock tracks like this to choose from, and then actually play them live.

Loving the new arrangment of FUNKNROLL.

Yeah, I've been very impressed by these FBG releases. Not only because FBG does such amazing work, but also because I'm enjoying the gigs WAY more than I thought I would. The new songs sound great for the most part. I really wish Prince would play more from AOA. The version of Clouds from volume 1 is stellar but too short. Replace the dull stale covers with your originals, Prince! People want to hear YOUR music!

KingSausage said:

If Prince ever decided to officially release his live shit (hahahahaha) he should totally hire the FBG folks to package it for him. Their work is exemplary.

yeahthat Thank you so much, FBG!! I'm really enjoying these shows! Oh, and thanks to Prince for performing them! razz

Whilst there are highlights of the second show on here the impression I got was that this was a 3 volume set. My guess would be that the second show was incomplete or not to a high enough standard. I could be wrong. Maybe FBG were filling up space on the CD? If they do have it we should know in the next few days.
