Yeah, since afterwards you'll be wondering why you paid to get fucked over.

You're talking about a guy who can't be arsed to properly run a business. A guy who managed to fail to fulfill the 2nd year NPGMC promises. Who managed to not provide $77 worth with his Lotusflow3r website.

The only way to make this work would be to have the concert here in Zambia. It would cost every orger (except me) pretty much the same amount of money to get here, no matter where you are coming from. Accommodation costs would be even accross the board (except for me). And i will accommodate Prince and the band at my place in return for my share of the concert fee.

So, whilst on the surface it looks like a win win for me, it really is a win win for everybody and the sacrifices I make will be made on behalf of all orgers.

So are we settled on that then? smile

Only if Prince agrees to go with us on safari to Kafue or Luangwa. I really wonder how he'd be camping out in the open. Damn! You make me wanna go on safari again! wink

Camping in Kafue. Now theres an idea. He could play guitar for us around the camp fire. I take it you have visited (lived) here before?

I love the Paisley Park idea. What a joke! If Prince managed to get all the Orgers inside Paisley, he would fucking gas us like Goldfinger does to his mobster associates.

Put me down for $100. But only if it's in my hometown of Brisbane, Australia. If it's outside Brisbane, then you guys will need to put in for flights for me razz

... OK... I'm kidding... I can probably be good for $200 for a Brisbane show wink

Not before playing a 20 minute version of Purple & Gold, a Kamasutra sampler set and a Wedding Feast encore with a rip-roaring kazoo solo.

Here is the booking form

http://www.bookingentertainment.com/artists/adult/Prince.php

I think the Paisley Park idea is the best. He may even do it cheaper for the fans if he is at home, who knows. Someone who knows how to do all this lets get the ball rolling!!

With the amount of supporters you will need to hire him, the concert won't be so private. neutral

Theoretically we could.

But we would not agree on the setlist.

(no hits, no samplerset, no released song older than 10 years)

I bet even if we got 2 million together he'd still say no. We'd of course ask for a nice long show with all kinds of deep cuts, and he'd think, "So I get my usual fee, but I have to put together three hours of band arrangements for songs like Moonbeam Levels, All My Dreams, Come, Lovesexy, and so on...? Duck that."

On top of princes fee you need to pay venue hire pa lights security arrange refreshments, license, etc etc etc, insurance etc etc etc taxes etc etc etc

And who is going to pay $2k to stand behind 2,000 folk paying the same amount of money?

and i'm not even being critical of Prince, here. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do it if I were him. If my boss said, "hey, here at the office we really like your highschool play, and we were wondering if you could get some people together, teach them the lines, and do that again for us sometime", my first question would be, "but my paycheck still comes in if I don't do that, right?"

I felt I got my $77 worth. I received my tshirt and cds and looked at great Prince videos for several months. It seems I'm in the minority, though.

Well, we would have to just agree that the top 10 songs (or however many) voted upon would be the ones he would perform. I can not fathom that a sampler set would make the top 10. The sampler set is among the top five reasons Prince.org seems like HatePrince.org.

I think Paisley Park would be a good place and if Prince got his fee but we would need to sweeten the offer to him like give him some "hit songs" for his next CD then he just might do it. I think there are some orgers on here that might be song writers especially the way the criticize his music if they offer some songs he might consider it.

Anyone send in the request to the booking agent yet? It has to start there to see if its even possible. We need someone to spearhead it. I posted the link earlier. Personnaly I don't want to but will pay my part. We have to send the request and get the terms if Prince will do it. There are logistics involved as Paisley Park has a per person limit capacity which will be the maxinum number of people that can bid on kickstarter. That will have to be prearranged so people who paid won't be left out. It should be set up where we have a certain number of people to bid and can reload their balances if needed to raise more money. It can be done but we need a go getter to get the ball rolling. Lets try and make it happen.

Here's another idea what if we don't pay him a fee but instead each orger produce a song or lyrics for a song or a melody for his next CD but it has to be good material no BS songs lyrics or melodies then he can produce his orgers album and keep the proceeds which would be more than $2,000,000. Now the way his music is criticized and talked about on here I say we got this! This is just another idea for him to do the orgers concert he give to us we give to him and he performs the songs we request him to perform! What do the orgers think!
