Detroit Fox Theatre, From The Soundboard (FBG)

[As posted on the banner at the top of this forum:]NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced! [---- luv4u]

Interesting that they play part of Herbie Hancock's "Palm Grease" at the begining of "Yes we can can/Thankful and Thoughtful". Don't get me started on how much I dig "Palm Grease". It's really cool to hear "Clouds" live during a set. At least the 2 minutes of it.

The last few years there is an echo-y harshness sound to his voice in Some parts.
Does Anyone else noticed this?

Is it ok to ask if it is, in fact, a soundboard recording of the show?

Will be listening to it later tonight.

Honestly, I'm more of a fan of outakes and rehersals than concerts. If it a video of a concert, then that a different story.

May be on to something there. The cover artwork is clean and looks very professional at least...

If it looks professional, that probably means Prince and his designers had nothing to do with it.

Touche! If it looks like I made it using Word, then probably officially designed by the Prince camp. Got it now. wink

Of course not! The Org has been here withstanding and outlasting ALL of Mr.YouKnowWho's extra special brand of BS since BEFORE there ever was Paypal - Google - Youtube - FaceBook - Amazon - Twitter - Pandora - Spotify - Soundboard - Tidal - along WITH every single one of Mr.YouKnowWho's failed attempts at internet domination. wink

After a cursory listen I have to say this is a really enjoyable performance. Yeah, obviously it's fairly hit heavy and the sampler set stuff kinda makes you role your eyes, but you've got to bear in mind that the setlist is intended for the people paying to go and see it rather than us sitting at home with loads of bootlegs of recent performances and the ability to give it repeat listens, and in that capacity it seems very energetic and enjoyable.

The band is tight as hell. Wished he played more full songs instead of snippets.
