Now what Prince songs were you listening to when you were 8 yrs old? lol

The song of the heart & the half of the ultimate collection plus a few hits lol

You had better music taste than me when I was 8 years old, I was pre-occupied with really cheesy shit like Aqua lol

But yeah I think he loves the fact young people like his stuff. I saw him last year and look relatavely younger than my age as well (like 16/17 when I'm actually 19) and I was singing along to all the songs and stuff, I was about 10 rows back so that must have made him happy to see. I remember when he played Starfish and Coffee in the encore after I'd been screaming for him to sing it all through the main set and I went CRAZY. Like I was so happy he played it after I'd been shouting cool . I like to think he heard me but it was most probably just a coincidence.

I started listening to Prince at 11 years old when 1999 (the album) was all over the radio, which was obviously followed up by Purple Rain.

.

I had the joy of absorbing his music forward and backward from that point (PR), which meant 2-3 albums a year for quite a while, plus B-sides and side projects.

.

It was a great time to be alive.

I'm 27. I've been a Prince fan since 2004, when I was around 15.

I knew about Prince as a kid growing up. I remember hearing about some of his songs and I was attracted to them - but I didn't know the artist's name!

I became a fan in 2004 as Prince released Musicology, and I was going through personal changes and being a Prince fan help express myself more. It was sort of like a rebellion phase that never ended.

Sure he does. You can see a definite change in Prince and his performances away from raunchy material to more dare I say family friendly fare. He mentioned it in some of his recent performances, LA shows comes to mind. So definitely, he certainly has a good understanding of the content of his music and the impact on kiddo's like you.'

What's your favorite album?

So many to choose from confuse so I'll say my top 5 is Sign o the times,Purple Rain,AOA,Emancipation,Parade

Thank you for mentioning Emancipation among the great albums. I feel vindicated being I think it is one of his best.
