Sing your love for "The Song Of The Heart"

It's a real UFO this one.

It fits nowhere into P's career, it has a lush Hollywood sound, and ultimately goes nowhere.

But it is lovely.

Speaking of, the arrangers did one hell of a job with Prince's songs on "Happy Feet".
Further proof of their melodic qualities.

The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter
No Child's a failure
Until the Blue Sailboat sails him away from his dreams
Don't Ever Lose, Don't Ever Lose
Don't Ever Lose Your Dreams

Not the biggest fan of the lyrics. But the music is great, almost perfectly crafted

I stopped caring for P's lyrics a long long time ago.

Don't Ever Lose, Don't Ever Lose
Don't Ever Lose Your Dreams

I actually think it's a fantastic song. It's clearly for kids and, with that in mind, I find it quite lovely, lyrics and all... I'd probably put it on a best of the past decade.

THIS IS PRINCES BEST SONG EVER HANDS DOWN!!!!! cool
Ok Let's start from the begining well I was 8 when this song came out at the time I had no idea who Prince was nor did I care ... Anyway Happy Feet was the best animated movie ever at the time & I was hooked I played that movie 10 times a day at least (ask my mum I'm not kidding) well a film that pretty munched summed up my life was the best thing to happen. I was exactly like mumble the different one with well everything in my life so this became my anthem my ,fav song of all time is Song of the heart so I adored it for a few years just as the Happy Feet song. untill I found a guy on tv in a purple trench coat with curly hair & thought it was my then fav Singer Mj (come I was 11 what do you expect) so I screamed told mum Michael released a new song when she laughed at me & said that's not michael that's Prince (the song was 1999) so like any music lover I became a Prince addict & later found out my childhood anthem was a Prince track (amazingly awesome feeling) so in short It was & allways will be my FAV Prince song yes fallinluv heart
All of this and more is 4 u. With <3, sincerity and deepest care, my life with u eye share ~Prince~

It fit perfectly with the movie. I'd like to see him write more things for film.

Change it one more time..

I don't know what that means. But the whole track should have been pushed over the side and drowned in the sea of Antarctica.

Man I would listen to this joint non stop on my way to school, and I still dig it. And when Mr. Chipmunk comes in.... say what you want but there's no denying he is oozing personality, mmhmm. It makes my insides feel good in a chillling out with the birds and bees sorta way. It's simple and nothing outrageous, and I like it.

This is a song I was always afraid to like but now I can -- because Bonatoc pointed out its virtues.

Yeah, it's a chipmunk festival, it's massively commercial and it ain't no great classic, but it's endearing and it's for kids and their parents. There's no law against a good song for that audience, and SOTH is more than decent.
