The original Minneapolis Genius from 86 release was a proper studio album made of 94 East tracks contemporarely "finished" by Pepé Willie. Further releases additionally included many tracks from that one, as well as many new ones, under their original form, but were mostly random compilations with no real structures as proper studio albums.

I suggest u check all the releases on Discogs and/or Princevault and figure out which ones u need to get all the tracks without having to buy all the releases.

I actually quite like some of the songs on this compilation. Just some enjoyable funk jamming. Nothing too spectacular, just enjoyable background music. If You See Me is a really good song though. I find myself singing it quite often. The unreleased prince cover 'do yourself a favor' is also really good however I sometimes prefer to listen to the original 94 east version.
