I'm not speaking FOR anybody, I'm commenting ABOUT something.

The reason people hold signs when they protest is so that their protest has an affect on those that witness it. If Prince closed social media sites to protest Ferguson, but never mentions Ferguson as his reason, then NOBODY knows he's protesting Ferguson and the protest would be useless.

This is not hard to understand. Your comment, "speak for yourself" makes no sense in light of my comments or point.

With instagram it's pictures and words (without characters limit as far as I've seen) and videos in a flash. I think Twitter and Facebook need Instagram but Instagram doesn't need Twitter and Facebook. All you need is Instagram. And I like that. smile

I agree with what you say but I've felt that way since I first got in to Prince, which was just before the name change. He's always seemed unrelatable to me but I love his music. So this latest turn of events is no surprise to me, just the latest in a long, long line of inexplicable decisions.

As always for me, not really interested in Prince, love Prince music.

I've always followed Prince for the music, but now even the music sucks as much as the man.

IMHO he was on the internet just to sell his 2 new crappy albums, take the money and then leave like a thief.

Well, since I am stating my opinion, then I already am "speaking for myself".

If you're saying that Prince is protesting Ferguson and others know it is about Ferguson without him saying it is about Ferguson then I call bullshit.

At least you admit that it is speculation. And that's the thing, that is all it is because there is nothing in his actions to suggest any connection whatsoever.

herb4	Well, whatever he's doing, I just bought me 4 brand me four brand new bootlegs at a local flea market I found. Good sound quality sound too. $5 a pop for 4 double Cd's. Got me some Stones, some Zappa and some Zeppelin to "boot". Gonna go back next week and get some more. . Shame that Prince won't sell this stuff himself and give fans what they want but his loss I guess.

This is so on point- "fly on the wall." Except I propose that the early take down of social media accounts effectively breaks that aspect of the WB deal. The real kicker being that the removal of social media was intended to take a stand about Ferguson, except no one can figure it out. Now that is Prince.
