Pretend If Prince announced AOA & PE on a morning show... How about performing on one to give them a boost? The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning all have live performances,mini-concerts. He can do WOW and one from AOA he has not done yet. Then announce a tour? We can hope can't we?

It's too late. Considering the release was announced on a morning show, I really expected an appearance/performance in the released week. Something had already gone wrong at that point between Prince and Warners - it's the only valid explanation I can think of. | |

And the lack of Purple Rain seems to look like something has gone wrong. Amazing considering that PR was probably the reason they released the albums in the first place, and it seems he has his masters back due to the YouTube activity. Maybe they'all release it next year. You do this shit week of, or week ahead of release - not a month after the fact. They got to #1 on the genre charts that's the best he can hope for with this little promotion, seems like he's happy with that ratio of effort/return. | |

He should get a spot on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, an interview by the green-fingered king of chat, followed by a performance would gain Prince massive exposure and secure sales of the new albums that would surpass Purple Rain numbers. don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed.... | |

Actually he had around ten "album release" or "listening parties" starting in like 2013...but as always, Prince blew it. NO real promotion. He could have done the rounds like U2...and they outsold him with an album that was already GIVEN AWAY to 500 million on ITunes. Sad...because Prince's album is better than U2's new album. It should have been one 75 minute cd filled up with music. Not 2 Cds totalling 93 minutes...Cd sales are WAY WAY DOWN. Fill them up with music, and "bonus tracks" if you want to make it clear what actual songs are the actual album. It's not like he doesn't have over 100 songs recorded in the last 2 years.
But Prince botches promotion like clockwork. Whatever he can do to limit sales, and make it look like a comedy of errors. | |
