Camille is the best part of this song.

Camille is a sped up voice used on songs like "Housequake." The voice on Breakfast is Alvin and the Chipmunks...NOT EVEN CLOSE to Camille.

Camille is not a sound. Its a character. Camille is not associated with Erotic City, Love or Money, Come On, PFunk etc etc.

Camille can be high (housequake) or low (Scarlett Pussy).

Something thae seems to have been lost in the sands of time.

I don't recall the low tone of "Scarlett Pussy" ever being associated with Camille, but regardless, I agree that the chipmunk voice was over the top.

Scarlet P uses multiple levels of voice speed change, but Breakfast is 100% Alvin & The Chipmunks. No other song credited to Camille sounds that butchered. It's a good song, but it's annoying as crap when Alvin comes in.

I agree, it was ok as a download, but as the album release I'd prefer he had removed it

I really think this song is satirical. The voice at the end tells us he's losing his mind lusting which isn't a good thing for him lol

I love it. Just love the whole song and album.

The run of The Gold standard, U Know and Breakfast can wait is so just so great.

Even if the song and that part of the song in particular is trying to convey a message it still boils down to being a shit version of Camille. It's a friggin chipmunk for gods sake smile
Totally embarrassed to be heard playing this. But then that does apply to a lot of Prince's work. For me at least. He's my guilty pleasure tbh. Like Erasure or Abba.
You have my vote to get rid of it. Or at least tone it down.

I really don't like this song, it's the only one I skip on AOA. But I agree that duck voice, IMO, just makes it even worse.
