I joined the org so I could participate in this discussion. Excellent topic by the way. There are so many perceptive comments already--because of the audacity of the subject matter (AND execution), I consider it PhD level songwriting. I always choose "Kiss" as my shining example of pure pop perfection--but IIWYG went where no one else would. No explantions, no apologies. I guess that makes it Post Doctorate.

The vocal "sometimes I trip on how happy we could be....pleeeeeSe." Pure chills.

Instantly my fav from SOTT. I remember my first listening in 1987 and thinking, it doesn't get better than this...and I still feel the same.
