Listened 2 them both in full. I quite like them. Much prefer PLECTRUM 2 ART atm. Marz coulda been a bit longer just when u get in2 it, it ends. ANOTHERLOVE is a cool slowed down rock cover of alice smiths track.

That's a cover of an Alice Smith song? That's actually cool. From the first album? Been sooo long since I listened to that one. Need to dust it off. Just listened to the snippet so far but it sounds good.

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

no, from her album last year. coincidentally, I just finally listened to it last weekend. I had intentionally never listened when it came out because I loved her first one so much that I would be disappointed by this one. I wasn't. It's really fantastic.

If you stay on the German webpage and don't let the link open in iTunes (and have QuickTime?) you can, as I'm in the U.S. and listened to the samples. I have Firefox set to not automatically open itms links in iTunes.

I'm on Chrome but can't find a way to listen to the samples. I've also never bought anything on Itunes so there's no way to open in Itunes. lol

Confused though. Shouldn't these be available soon anyway to those who pre-ordered the set (since they've been released in some areas officially)? They already got me that way yesterday (as I bought "FNR" before it was available to me through the WB Prince Store as part of my pre-order)...sad

So, it's been a while since I've been buying or tracking chart singles and releases but is this scatter gun release of half if not two thirds of the album before the actual release date usual these days? Either in the industry or for WB? Just seems strange with one or two of these doing ok - funknroll and a rumoured video to detract from that with further prereleases. Didn't it used to be one maybe two singles before the album came out? And certainly not within days of each other!

I bought Lenny Kravitz and Stevie Nicks (she's on Warner Brothers also) pre-orders and they both have released "digital singles" also. I think I'm up to 5 now for Lenny and 2 for Stevie. I don't think they are singles as we would have thought of them in the past, just instant gratification songs.

You are feeling sleepy. Your eyelids feel heavy. it's hard to keep your eyes open. Suddenly a voice commands you. It says in a basso voice not unlike Bob George's:

Go forth and click.

My thoughts:

I really dig both songs; I just heard them both in full. ANOTHERLOVE is a sultry midtempo bluesy guitar jam -- imagine "Colonized Mind" having a baby with "A Million Days." Prince sings lead, and Hannah adds really nice backing vocals. MARZ is kind of a blend of rockabilly and punk rock (P sings lead); the music is a bit like a rock version of "Workin' for a Livin'" by Huey Lewis & The News. It's way too short, though!
