WOW - and other plectrum songs

I love the liv warfield version and i am hoping that Princes one is going to be amazing too. I think this could be a classic prince song if pulled off correctly.

I am also hoping that Prince sings on every track (lead vocals) but i fear with songs like, BOYTROUBLE i fear it is going to be Hannah singing, therefore watering down the set for me.

As far as I've heard from people who have heard the tracks:

1 WOW (Prince lead vocals)
2 PRETZELBODYLOGIC (Prince lead vocals)
3 AINTTURNINROUND (Hannah lead vocals, no Prince)
4 PLECTRUMELECTRUM (instrumental)
5 WHITECAPS (Hannah lead vocals, Prince background vocals)
6 FIXURLIFEUP (Prince lead vocals)
7 BOYTROUBLE (Hannah lead vocals, no Prince)
8 STOPTHISTRAIN (Hannah and Josh(?) lead vocals, Prince background vocals)
9 ANOTHERLOVE (Prince lead vocals)
10 TICTACTOE (Hannah lead vocals, Prince background vocals)
11 MARZ (Prince lead vocals)
12 FUNKNROLL (Prince lead vocals)

That's only 6 songs with Prince on lead vocals, thank God there's also a solo album

It will be interesting to hear what will be the final versions of all the tracks we know. Wow sounded very good when I heard it being played through the PA before the Amsterdam show this year. Liv's version is killer though!

I'm not really expecting much from Plectrum. I dont like Fixurlifeup, I think Pretzel is ok but spoilt by the chorus, the short version I heard of Stop-this-train over the PA at Manchester sounded like some teenage pop song.

.

On the plus side, I am looking forward to getting Funknroll - I think this will be the radio rip version which sounded good and most of all Wow - that sounded great over the PA. Just have to see what the other songs are like.....

Hmmm, didn't realise Hannah was up front on this many tracks. Been very hyped for PE but not interested in Hannah sad. Looks like I'll be having an awesome Prince EP though!!

I am so hoping that Prince has had a reality check and decided to release them all with him singing. But he does like to represent the band so therefore he may just let them do half vocals etc.

Im looking forward to his songs on it, i will no doubt skip the other vocals on it on first listen maybe up to 10, 20 listens. One day i will put on the other songs with Hannah and turn them off bored. So who knows?

Im excited about WOW though, really loving that tune. Im hoping FUNKnROLL will be that cool version we heard on radio but then again what will the art offical age one then sound like?

Its a tough one, i was really looking forward to plectrum and i know i will instantly favour the PRINCE tracks. I am pleased he realsed two albums to allow a balance so we can hear his stuff and their stuff.

I am looking forward to hearing MARZ as well. I was not fortunate enough this time to go and see him when he came to london. Having seen him a few times before so i am looking forward to hearing the tunes.

I'm looking at this as 2 eps:

The first ep is Prince w/3EG.
That one has six songs.
Thats the Wow ep.

The second ep is a protege ep
featuring 3EG with Prince's imput.
That one also has six songs.
Thats the Plectrum Electrum ep.

So when the end od September rolls around
I'm looking forward to 1 cd & 2 eps.

My understanding from the reports was that these two were duets between Hannah and Prince. I certainly hope so.

I'm actually looking forward to hearing the songs Hannha sings lead on. Most of the songs on Plectrum Electrum has Prince singing on them. People act like Shelby J is doing half the album leads and screaming "PUT YOUR HANDS UP". It aint that serious. It's a band album and by the way, there's the solo album that comes out the same day, with all the Prince vocals you want.

Just heard Whitecaps - Hannah on vocals.
The background vocals include Prince vocals.
Not a duet.

Yah, i like The Unexpected too. I know Princey's gonna murder it though. It's just in his nature doh!. Could care less (lying like a mofo) who's singin' the other tracks as long as they're good. Not crazy about the the Prince-sung tracks from we've heard (FIXURLIFE and Pretzel), WHITECAPS is ok, so we'll see. I'm sure it'll be worth my 10-12 bucks.

For all time I am with you, you are with me.
