PLECTRUM ELECTRUM LISTENING PARTY

Wish I was going. Pls post reports here! I wonder if the Warner's deal has something yo do with the stalling of the release of this album. Now seems P is v keen for the fans to hear the music.

I think he's just building hype in order to whip us all up and then not release it again - whether intentionally or not. Anyone who goes will be lucky to hear any tracks off PE and will probably get Finding Nemo on repeat. Unfair on the girls too.

18 months after this project first surfaced, it's having a listening party. Sort your life out, Prince.

Another listening party ... bored

I wish he would simply shelve it ... no more teasers and coming soon lies ...

I think he's pushing WB to release it. "See, the people love it". I remember when I read breathless reports from FAMS who'd gone to events at Paisly Park gushing about "Return Of The Bumpsquad" and "Days Of Wild". When I heard the actual tunes I was surprised at how average they sounded. I'm sure Plecturm Electrum will be the same way. It seems like this album has gone through at least 3 different overhauls since he first announced it.

I got excited for 10 seconds then it hit me...the project was announced a year ago...3-4 tours later, still nothing. I'm over hearing about it. Release it or shut up. It's not being negative it's just being tired of the same ol bs. He owes me nothing but c'mon these games are getting old.

This is great news, sure the album has been completed a while, but that's no big deal, I for one will be grateful to finally have this in my hands. I don't care if it was 2020 before this is released, music is music.

Think of it this way, he doesn't have to release it at all, but it sure looks like he is trying, I will continue to hope for the best.

peace

Wow, I heard those point blank bootleg or import with no hype, and I think those two are top quality prince studio tracks.

Can't wait to read the reports on what this damn thing finally sounds like. Not expecting much based on what we already know...this side project is definitely not worth the long wait

As someone said awhile ago it will probably be simliar to Grafitti bridge with Prince on some tracks and Hannah/Josh on some. Thats why Im not so excited about this project and most 3EG songs sound boring, uninspired and lame (even worse than 20ten). He should take the best songs from PE and put them on his solo album instead.

Isn't this like listening party # 10 in the last 18 months for this album? The race is on between U2 and Prince to see how long they can take to release an album.

If there's enough orgers there maybe they can rush the stage and nick the CD, that's the only way it's getting released without another 100 listening parties and interviews hyping it.
