I agree with this. It's not the "weak" link, but it is out of place. It's a solid hit song regardless of which album it was on.

I remember a review of Parade where the critic actually wrote: Oddly enough, the album's weakest song,"Kiss",is the first single from the album.Or maybe it's not that odd when you consider that "Kiss" is the only song that sticks to Prince's familiar falsetto funk sound.Prince might take chances, but his record company sure doesn't.

See? This is what I'm sayin'! thumbs up!

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It doesn't fit the whole "orchestral" feel of the rest of the album. Is Kiss even in the movie? I don't think it is . . .

I agree with the others but for me Mr Goodnight and FMB drag Planet earth down considerably.

RIP sad

Totally agree. The very two songs someone choses to be pulled from the album for better use are the very two that I would put back in the vault.

Yes, it's in the scene where Christopher and Mary make out in the back of his car.

Power Fantastic. This is probably the song, along with Empty Room that has had the worst album deal. It is a stone cold classic, top ten Prince material for me and it wasn't even on a proper album. It should have been a corner stone in his discography, not some extra added to the b-side collection - though what an extra it is! I think the song might be my number 1 dream live song, along with Computer Blue and Darling Nikki.

Slightly off-topic, but many of his B-sides were either criminally left of their corresponding albums or put on/wasted on the wrong albums. Examples: Erotic City and 17 Days were easily album tracks. Easily. She's Always In My Hair is easily an album track. I Love U In Me has no business associated with Batman. But back to the question: Dance 4 Me is lost on MPLSound, which itself is overshadowed by LF.

I always wish that Erotic City had been the title track for the album after Purple Rain.

Would have been a chart topping follow up to PR.
