this is a strange one for me, as I thought I was sick of hearing this at the last few tours prince has done, but this new version he has been singing on the hit and run tour has been one of the highlights of the shows for me. His voice has shone through brilliantly on this song on this tour and made me appreciate the song all over again.

His performances of the song have been noth measured and heartfelt, and I have heard and read comments from others both in person and on forums who have considered the song to have been a highlight of the shows they have seen on this tour.

yea, at the leeds gig i went too, the crowd give this version the biggest cheer when he had finished, next to purple rain!

You know, I'm not normally a huge fan of the song. At least, not compared to the other "hits" he plays.

But on this tour..... Birmingham, second night...... he absolutely tore it up. Breathed new life into it. I was in tears when he hit the "all the flowers that you planted in the back yard" line with so much passion.... It was truly phenomenal.
