Prince & the movie "Belle"

This movie looks well worth watching - an interesting study of race relations in English history.

And it's cool that Prince seems so into it as to perform at the Premiere Party.

But I wonder exactly how it came to his attention - it seems to be a very British / English production and subject matter (though the history of race relations is arguably of universal interest).

Anyone know how he got involved? Maybe met someone from the movie when he was in London in February?

Ive been wondering the same thing. He's been promoting it a lot. It looks good, but I've not yet gathered what his connection is to it.

Change it one more time..

As much as i believe Prince has a passion for the subject.....I can't help but think this is the main driving factor. If it was some other "not-so-attractive" lead, i bet he wouldn't be there!

He's out to brag and impress the poor lady. biggrin

The lady who plays the lead said on radio 2 earlier that he just saw it in the US and liked it.

That is soo TRUE...I bet his eyes were more focused on her than on the plot of the movie. If the Betty White was lead with the same plot he probably would think twice about promoting it.

He embraces all races as well as transcends race and raises people to that space.
