It's an obvious cover, Usually prince is credited when this happens.

In a semi related matter,

how many of you know this pretty good cover (prince IS credited) from 1987.

The Artist is a very talented israeli jazz/rock bassist/vocalist Alon Oleartchik

Very interesting. Sounds like he recorded a quite generic sounding cover of it and then fucked it up entirely (and I mean that in a good way!). I like it, thx biggrin

OMG!!! I just realized I had NOT clicked properly on pause on Winamp when lauching the video. I listened to the whole song with David Sylvian's ambient tracks Preparation For A Journey then Steel Cathedral in the background and I thought all those weird, unharmonic sounds I heard in the background were from the UTCM cover falloff

U know what: it worked so fucking perfectly, that's part of the reason why I found the track so original and said he "fucked it up" (in the good sense of the term). I'm so bloody disappointed now lol lol lol

A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
