Shockedelicus	There isn't a Prince song I don't like from 1979-1989... except for Uptown. It sounds like a My-First-Funk-Jam. How is it a hit?!

But all the mainsteam love Cream, and this has to be one of P's worst songes ever recorded.

lordfalconer	Delirious and It are the songs that mainly but me - It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night too. Uptown even on the context of the album is probably my least liked track on Dirty Mind but maybe saying I can't stand it is going too far :\ :/

The whole D&P album to me was just too clean and polished. Nothing was raw, nothing really felt like Prince. It was definately a new direction but everything even the look was too ironed and clean

DesperatelySee kingSusan	"Free" The only mis-step on an otherwise flawless record. Hate those Regan-era "fight for freedom" lyrics. Yuck. Prince doesn't do overtly political well. Especially then, and especially on an album that is so otherwordly and in his own head like 1999. Still love the screaming and the musical outro though. [Edited 5/13/14 11:42am]
