Yes. Prince contemplated hiring Hulk Hogan but soon realized his burnt orange complexion would clash with his outfits -- plus Hulk didn't like the pay.

The song "Old Friends 4 Sale" was written in 1985 and was featured in Prince's movie "Under The Cherry Moon" but not included on the soundtrack "Parade". The original song contained lyrics with veiled references about the firing of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis of The Time and "Big" Chick Huntsberry, his former bodyguard, who supposedly sold a fictious story about Prince to a tabloid to support his cocaine habit. The song was re-recorded in 1991 with less personal lyrics, and released in 1996.

.

He was almost as recognizable as Prince at one point, simply because he was Prince's right hand. He was a pop culture thing. A lot of non-Prince fans ate it up. The idea that Prince would ride in on his bodyguard's shoulders in public is still iconic. At that time, wrestling was becoming pretty mainstream with Captain Lou Albano, and Hulk Hogan getting media attention. Pretty sure Chick came out of the same wrestling circuit as Hogan.

.

.

Roseanne Barr married her bodyguard. It was a big story.

.

Chuck Zito comes to mind.
