You're talking about the film right? Because I imagine a studio version of the track itself would fairly likely be part of an expanded Dirty Mind, if of course that ever materialises.
In terms of the film, do we know how far along the road it was before Prince cancelled it? I've seen the images from the film with Prince looking like he's high as fuck, do other images from it exist? Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

I'm referring to the film. The fact that it is not finished does not matter to the fans. This was my favorite period from Prince because he was so raw. I hope that they release a series of concerts, videos, and studio tracks for the hardcore fans that are raw an unfinished. | |

It would be cool if this was released along with the Controversy remaster. The song was recorded in 1981, so it's Controversy era, not Dirty Mind. |

Since Prince showed small clips of this at Paisley, it possibly can be assumed that he has the full thing. The concert footage is all I care about. If there is anything else, it would be great as an extra, but I'd just love to have a pro shot Controversy show in the best possible quality. From what I've seen on bootleg video, it is quite awesome, so any improvement on what is circulating would be a mind blowing experience for me. I remember reading info on the guy who shot the footage, I think he claims he still has the full thing, but can't remember the details anymore. | |
