I don't think there is a studio version of Electric Intercourse. As far as I know, he only spent 2-3 hours doing overdubs on the version recorded at the 8/3/83 show. Great song, but I think what we've got is about as close as it was to being completed.... but i'd love to be proved wrong! That would rock.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

Adonis and Bathsheba

That would be my second choice.

Imagine an album with Cosmic Day, Adonis, Go, Splash, witness, in a large room, All my dreams on it along with a few completely unheard songs.

A song that I've never heard of before ... ideally one that was recorded in the early 80s and has lots of screams.

Of the songs that are in circulation (snippets or approx full versions), the list above works for me.

Witness 4 the Prosecution/All My Dreams/Big Tall Wall/Electric Intercourse are among my "essentials".

I remember being so mad when I heard how crappy sounding Big Tall Wall was on one of the many Dream Factory boots, but years later finding something way better on freakin' Youtube.

Oh, and The Grand Progression of course. I'd like a whole Graffiti Bridge companion album. The original mix of Round And Round is also quite nice.

"The Dance Electric", I suppose.

Out of all the "unreleased songs that would have been classics" that one suffers the most from the bad sound quality.

I don't know if it could be released but I would like to hear a cleaner sounded verison of "Purple Music" studio outtake. The new verison of "I could never take the place of your man" "An Honest Man" The verison of "God" that is played with the horns and piano. It's just beautiful.

These songs all were recorded on the same day (unbelievable!!!)
So I'd like to hear those (demos I guess...)
According to the Vault, Prince recorded on 28 December 1985 these songs :
- Slaughterhouse,
- U Just Can't Stop,
- Run Amok,
- Mobile,
- Madrid,
- Breathless,
- High Calonic,
- 12 Keys
at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, US

I think Purple Music is the no brainer. It could even be a single today, I think if only because it fits the casual fan's fantasy of what a stash of unreleased Prince songs would sound like.
