Live version of Another Lonely Christmas one of the best ever vocal and guitar performance by PRINCE

Princes singing is so amazing on live version of the b side Another Lonely Christmas.

And the guitar work rivals Just My Imagination.

its a shame he performed this song only once.

You mean that one time he sang that one song at that one place live? oh yeah it was on that one cd called something that everyone obviously knows exactly what you are talking about, so no need to be anything more than super vague. It actually really reminds me of that one time back then that he did that one thing that just blew everyone away. It was so awesome, you should go to that site and check it out, or you can buy it at that place. know what I mean?

After a quick google search I guess you mean when he performed it on 26th December 1984, hadn't actually heard the live version before

The one and only live rendition he did in St.Paul? It is indeed amazing. I like the song anyway, but the live version takes it to a whole different level. Great song, great musical arrangement, great lyrics. It is , in my opinion, the epitome of a mid 80s Prince song. I miss this kind of music from him.

It is one of my all time favorite songs, ever.

This would have to be one hell of a performance to lift this song - one of the few really bad songs from the eighties...

The music doesn't have those steady claps on the 2 and 4 right? Annoying right? Doesn't use his clean and over produced vocals right? What a waste of money huh? Another one of those freaky "I want to create art songs" right? Hmmm... yeah I get it lol

Personally I love it. I don't need Prince do be all Jamie Starr with his party tricks, The Time, Vanity 6 etc. Altough I love alot of that stuff also.
