Is there truly such thing as a "hit" song these days? If so, What good does it do to have one? Miley Cyrus, robin Thicke, Rihanna, Justin ...they are almost always playing to less than sold out arenas.

At this point, if Prince had a hit as big as "Blurred Lines" , what would it change about his career?

In my eyes, it wouldn't change anything about his career. Just another good song to add to his enormous catalog. I suppose it could lead to more radio airplay for subsequent releases, though.

So many have been dropping the "charts don't mean i thing anymore" line. Now prince has the backing ofva major and an awful record which plays the pop game, these same people are now saying "prince has a hit on his hands".
