Prince concert films.

With the 30th anniversary of PR this I was thinking if he released The 1985 SYracuse concert on film. I Digisurround sound it will be loud like not in 30 years and on big screen.

He could do this for other concert. Imax would make it look real. Especially 3D. Purpe Rain, Lovesexy, and Nude were all good tours. The one for 1999 as well. It's also 10 since Musicology. That would be a good one to release. 35 years since 1979. Don't know if he had any tour for The For You era.

Working up a purple sweat.

syracuse was shot on standard definition video as were the other tours. SOTT was the only one shot on film. blow up SD video and it'll look like crap on a big screen. you won't have the same problems with sound, but SD video on imax will look like you've taken a realplayer video from the 90s and blown it up on a 50" plasma. and not being filmed in 3D makes that pointless. no point spending money making artificial 3D for a live show

they do. but with standard definition material they can only upscale. you can't add definition that wasn't captured originally. it's just like if a recording is crap you can't make it perfect.

SOTT was shot on film so that can have a HD transfer such as on the bluray. plus it was shown in theatres in the first place. the movie has been rereleased several times, and has been shown in theatres recently. but prince has no rights over that movie so it's not up to him
