I'm certainly not the first to notice that Prince hasn't played Leno since the whole Conan O'Brien/Tonight Show fiasco (that, IMO, has stained Leno's career forever). I found it interesting that when Jimmy Fallon told Leno the whole ping-pong with Prince story, Leno didn't even mention anything about Prince. The whole "he's a friend of the show" never came up at all, etc.

Does anyone know if Prince and Leno had a documented fallout? Was there any bad blood after Prince's performances during Leno's first "retirement" back in 2009? (Aside from the a-hole who got pissed when P took his guitar back )

As a Conan fan I like to think that there's something about it. I especially loved Prince's response in an interview (probably around Welcome 2 Australia) about 360 deals that "they're great... for me to poop on". Also after The Tonight Show debacle Prince has appeared on George Lopez, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon - I don't remember any other late night talk shows appearances before 2009, except for some Letterman shows a long time ago.

And I still hope he appears on Conan one day!
