I know it's the most cliched thing to say but I really think his best bet would be to focus on a new tour to start out 2014 and really go hell for leather on it by brushing up some of the 3rdeyegirl material and for diversity's sakes, the current NPG lineup and finish out the year with a double live album either intergrating them or having different sets on each disc..... annnnd for dreamers sakes a 3rd disc with an aftershow.

Prince needs to realise that he can churn out an amazing set and doesn't need to create a compilation like he did with inidigo material in 2008.

In regards to 2013 I agree with a previous post stating that the reloaded Let's Go Crazy has been the standout track for me. His live shows seemed fantastic although don't quite understand the avoidance of the UK, but all things could be resolved next year if he read this post .

I do agree with this however I do think he needs to stop faffing around. I think what he needs to do is re-establish is muse. Take a year off and go travelling and embrace different cultures. Find out different music. He really needs a new kick. To be honest if you think about it, the last 15 years has been the same thing. The same plastic Rnb, the same laboured funk, the same poorly recorded and badly produced songs. Even something good like the rainbow children still had that muffled feeling to it. And it still had that same princey sound he has been using for years now.

I think you could put a track from each album or released song in the last 15 years and put them onto a compilation and they would all sound as if they were from the same album. He is becoming that predictable music wise.

I want to see a real deep dark and interesting prince. Stop it with the meaningless bragging. Where is the sensitive Prince gone? Where is the fire in his belly gone? He is too in his comfort zone. He needs to push himself. He needs a producer who tells him what to do and pushes in where he argues back. Where he doesn’t want to go. He needs someone to scare him musically and stop believing he is the best.

I think it's been a great year and a half starting with the 3 rehearsals for w2aus. From then until now, the time we would normally expect one studio album that would probably be talked about for a few weeks then forgotten ala planet earth or 20Ten, we've had something new every few weeks on average.

At the end of it if you're organised then you have a double album of quality and engaging live rehearsals which to me is much better than any album we've had since TRC plus a whole album of new studio trax starting with RNR love affair. Listen to it as a whole and whilst you may think it's fairly uninspired filler there are some good trax too and all in all no different to the quality we've had for years now.

Then as bonuses theres all the live stuff.

Plus he's being inspired to try so etching new. A new image, new band, new sound which wile not to everyone's taste is at least more engaging than just the same old lacklustre attempt to copy the current pop sound.

I think it's been a huge year and I'd take what I now have over a one off cd and then silence all day long.

More of the same for 2014 please.

No you haven't: it's the live rendition of ICNTTPOYM that appeared on YT in January. Why the hell did Prince retitle it "Medium" and what does it mean? That's probably gonna stay one of his career's deepest enigmas lol lol lol

Throwing together a 10 track album (leaving out instrumentals, versions of old songs and Live out Loud) I have to say i'm pleasantly surprised how good it all sounds together.

A lot of the songs i wasn't bothered to listen to more than once or twice at the time they were released but yeah, decent album as far as i'm concerned. It's far from a MASTERPIECE.GIF but i'll be listening again.

I do not understand why you lot are arguing over whether you got a big pile of shite or a small pile of shite.

And now you're fallign for the same BS -- see the Twitter "interview": "oh look the album is now confirmed for 2014". No it isn't, it is some flunky posting something. How long is the list of "confirmed" Prince releases that remain in the vault? Don't you lot never learn?

This is my tracklist for an 'album' called 20PR1NC3, of official "studio" material;

RNR Love Affair

Screwdriver

Boyfriend

Extralovable Reloaded

Breakfast Can Wait

Groovy Potential

Live Out Loud

Da Bourgeoisie

Fixurlifeup

Ain't Gonnna Miss U When U're Gone

I left That Girl Thang off because the quality of it was very rough.

Did you forget same page different book or leave it off intentionally?

Also I've put Laydown on mine as to me it's the full version.

Will we ever get a cleaner LOL?

The original release is so fuzzy and bad, only the vocals sound produced.

Along with Screwdriver, the bass is very bad... when I play that on great speakers, it even sounds worse.

Maybe he didn't release a cd because he couldn't score another exclusive newspaper or store "give me all my money up front" deal."...never respected the root of all evil, and he still don't to this day..."

This a real possibility. He has burned alot of bridges and it may no longer be easy for him to get a distribution deal that he likes.
