It almost seems as if Prince has just as much mediocre/bad music as he does good music. Really look @ it.....mostly everything in the 80's is friggin' great. Some 90's stuff has greatness. But, so many pointless tracks/albums have been release from the 90's on up to now, & a lot of it is forgettable.



I don't understand how many of you don't see this. Just because Prince can play instruments doesn't mean that his music is going to be good. I am so sick of the "Real Music By Real Musicians" crap that he says too. What good is this "real" music, if it sucks???

To me All the 80s stuff is gold SOme more than others. Graffiti, DP, Gold, Love symbol , Come are a continuation of that gold. NPS i like that album personally but im not gonna say it's gold. Chaos, Emancipation, Crystall ball not so good, but have their gems especially emancipation. TRC is fantastic, Musicology, 3121 , lotus are good. Everything else u have a point about. IN my opinion id say 65 percent of Prince songs are good compared to like 90 percent of led zeppelin songs. however prince has released like 800 songs and zeppelin 150 or something. So it's a numbers game.

Very good point! I really feel that Prince's over saturation has done this. He really should have slowed down after "TGE", imo. Coming out with an album of quality music every 2-4 years would have done a lot of good for his catalog.

You've just won the "Fool of the Week" award for reposting the same "Prince is over and done" thread that's been posted about every week by various fools over the last 15 years. Do you realize that just by reading the TITLE of your thread I already knew what it would be about?

The problem is not Prince's music, the problem is you need to get a life because u can't see how pathetic it is to say what dozens of people have said before you, because you don't see the difference between your personnal tastes and an objective appreciation of music (if such a thing even xists) and because you are so bored that you can't do anything better than come on a forum creating a post saying how desperate you are to see the whole world agreeing with you on how bad Prince's music has become, as if this had any importance whatsoever.

Orgnote me: I can give you a few clues of how to get a girlfriend (or a boyfriend)

I like some of Prince's new stuff (GASP!) better than some of his 80's output. Imagine how good my life is compared to yours.

naahhh. i've been a fan for years. 2013 has been a great year. lots of fun. i pity folks who dislike this phase of prince.
