I really hope that Prince read this....

I just wanted to say that no matter what anyone says, your double album "1999" was the best thing out from 1982-1983 and that album has influenced me to this day and even 5 after its release, people were still listening to this in their cars because I remember hearing it blaring out of cars that passed by growing up in Columbus,Georgia and I was so fascinated with this cassette that I had my dad on my 8th birthday in 1987 buy me the cassette and he gave me an ultimatum and said what do you want for your birthday, you can either have the 1999 album or karate lessons and I choose your 1999 cassette without even thinking about it because hearing my dad blast lady cab driver in the car blew my mind in 1982 at just 3 years old and it made me a die hard fan to the end. Ive had so many arguments with people about your albums but I just wanted to say that your 1999 double album was better than thriller and should have gotten the best album award instead of rick james throwing down because that album opened up a lot of doors and you can hear all the hard work that was put into that album and thats why I believe the songs were so long and productive. I was even fascinated with the album cover image and how you put your eyes on the lps itself which was original and a ground breaking thing to do. I remember when I attended probably my first live concert with my mom in October of 1999 to see morris day and the time and before the show started, there was this dark skinned black lady that said that she met you in 1980 and said that you had walked up to her and said " I wanna thank you for buying my new album 1999" while you were looking up in the sky and not giving eye contact and she said that she thought that you were weird and sounded like she wanted to cuss you out so I started tuning this lady out while she was telling us this story cuz I knew right off that she had a very mean spirit and that I didnt want to talk to her after hearing what she said because if I was me at adult age in 1980 in which I was born in 1979, I would have thanked you back just for making an album like that and gave you high five and some dap. I remember when npgmc.com existed, I told one of the paisley park moderators that I even mailed the rock n roll hall of fame a written persuasion letter in late 2002 begging them to induct you into the rock n roll hall of fame and how so many artists like usher have copied your sex appeal and havent given you the credit that you deserved to have because there was a lot of talk in the threads about why you werent in the hall of fame and someone gave the idea of writting the rock hall committee a letter and I did just that and I remember getting made fun of by some white teenagers and white kids growing up because I told them that I thought that you were the best guitar player in the world.

Whelp, all I'm trying to do is reply with the quote and then say, "Go home, Prince! You're drunk."But as I cannot seem to correctly edit it, maybe I am drunk as well...

I don't know that Prince will ever read this but I'm guessing there's a better-than-even chance Will Smith is going to hear about this, LOL.

I am not rambling....I always thought that 1999 double album was better than thriller and I will always think that it is better than thriller. It definitely trampled all over everything that rick james was doing....actually, I was reading the liner notes to rick james throwin down lp and rick was using the same linn drums that prince was using at that time (they misspelled it lynn drums) but prince mastered that sound and made it his own and rick couldnt help but follow along....I was telling this guy that worked for used record store that 1999 double album was better than thriller and he said that it definitely was more fun..............
