I have been a fan since 83 and like the new Extralovable better than the original. That thing is funky! As I do like his naughty side and would love to hear him to Head live one more time...I also think hearing a 50ish year old guy singing that is sorta creepy so get over that emission (lol) quick. What I really want to hear is more shows with JUST 3rd Eye Girl. No horns, no back up singers. Those reviews from the West Coast shows had me drooling. drool

I miss the confusion, the vulnerability too. The Prince that loved God but was also tormented by their relationship. The Prince that had a running dialogue with Him upstairs during the Purple Rain tour, or the maniacal, screaming Prince making his peace during Anna Stesia at Dortmund 88. Even as an atheist I found it honest, and that's the Prince I loved. The Prince that stripped himself and bore his soul, the Prince that let his guard down. The Prince of today is so self-assured, religiously, musically and morally that it has no content to draw me in, it's just too boring for me to care.

.

Very well said. How he got from the Prince of then, to the Prince of today, I'll never know.

"I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015
