Then feel free to express yourself. You want to express yourself, why first do that and then refrain in such a forceful way. If Prince didn't want this website, including all its negativity around, he would have tried to shut it down a long time ago. He never did, despite all the other sites that got the axe.

Apparantly, he sees something good in it. That fans can gather around and talk, about him, his music, perhabs even God...

Am I wrong?

I'm perfectly willing to discuss God or anything you like. What I'm not willing to do is reveal what I feel God wants to do with Prince. That's Prince's business and he'll be the first to know about it and the first to share with the world (if it comes to pass).

*

I still don't know why this is so important to you? I'm a bit confused by that.

*

A lot of fans say a lot of stuff around here but my posts seem to get extra scrutiny for some reason. cool

What do you expect when you claim you are (some sort of) a preacher and that God wants to take Prince "where no man has gone before"?

Surely not

As I've stated before, I'm NOT A PREACHER. I HAVE NO TITLE. I'm a nobody. I have no title other than a humble servant of the Lord. That's the way I like it too. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Don't sweat it about what I said. After all, Star Trek said the same, right? biggrin

Nor with the Prince we know.

Question:

Akhenaten was King, Pharaoh of Egypt
but Prince is just Prince and doesn't want to be King

then why does he still invoke the idea that he is and does?

I don't think he wants to be king but he indeed is happy to be a prince, second to a first. He may be more religious now but the weight his name carries seems to sneak in there and make him think a little highly of himself.

Why don't you really say what you mean?

Obviously what you say here, is based on actual perception, by you, and others, of the reality of Prince.

Not neccessarily "true", but a perception that is yours truly

i can't say with any certainty anything and what I perceive him to be is not necessarily nice and we've decided I should be nicer, remember?

Also my perception can be, may be, probably is wrong considering that I don't know him. To be nice, he seems to have a massive ego.

I have to say you are right, but

When do you really "know" somebody?

When you have lived with somebody for a lifetime, isn't it ultimately still all YOUR "perception"?

You know Prince by Experience, his music for 30+ years and you have seen him in concert a zillion times, plus you talked with him in person. The way you know him, that shouldn't be any less or more valid than any other perception.

As long as you stay truthfull and respectfull, it is perfectly fine.

And all this shying away by everybody on this thread and this forum, is truly remarkable. Awkward almost.

This is prince.org come on! Where all them "bitches" and "haters"?

this is not a bitching or hating thread. It's asking about perception of someone based on their name and how his fan base perceives him?

But

To remeain thruthful and respectful

I don't believe you are void of hate or bitching (-> the M thing)

Plus you are not void of love and praising either (-> the G thing)

I am interested in the latter.

I believe it's not something that's "exclusive to Prince"
But something that God has in store for all of us.

*

I have a couple more minutes.

*

Was this comment aimed at moi?

*

If so, I'm only guessing by the letters what you're referring to.

*

I don't hate or bitch about "M". I spoke the truth about what I see. I have absolutely no feelings for her one way or another. I have a definite opinion but it's not bitching or hating. IMO, she's not worth the time of day. I could care less about her. Honest. The truth hurts sometimes but embracing it means freedom for all. Somestimes you need to say it like it is for reality to set in for those who need to hear the truth. The GOAL IS FREEDOM. All I was asking for was for someone to acknowledge that it's ludicrous for one to believe this person is a reincarnation (or even resemble) Nefertiti. You know that you know that Nefertiti NEVER spoke to her husband like that. Enough said.

*

I have been compared to a woman like this (another M) in the past by someone (*hint*) and it was EXTREMELY painful to say the least. To my core. I'm not a JEZEBEL like those 2 women. I'm completely the opposite. To be compared to someone like that was really, really painful. You don't know the story behind it but if you did, you'd whole heartedly agree that it was totally uncalled for and projected on me for no reason. I was being a TRUE friend, I prayed for this person, this person was healed miraculously and I was compared to JEZEBEL (the person who did the damage) by the very person who was healed.

*

Let me ask you, was that fair? Was it called for? Did I deserve it?

*

It's extremely important to me that the record be set straight because I don't deserve it. Nuff said.

To be compared to that spirit was heart breaking to say the least.

YHWH...

Does that mean you follow the Christ?

Yahweh (/ˈjɑːw/ or /ˈjɑːhw/; Hebrew: יהוה‎), was the national god of the Iron Age kingdoms of Israel and Judah. The name probably originated as an epithet of the god El, head of the Bronze Age Canaanite pantheon ("El who is present, who makes himself manifest"),[1] and appears to have been unique to Israel and Judah,[2] although a god Yahweh may have been worshiped south of the Dead Sea at least three centuries before the emergence of Israel (the Kenite hypothesis).

In the oldest biblical literature (12th–11th centuries BCE) Yahweh is a typical ancient Near Eastern "divine warrior" who leads theheavenly army against Israel's enemies; he and Israel are bound by a covenant (a feature unique in ancient Near Eastern religion) under which Yahweh will protect Israel, and Israel in turn will not worship other gods.[3] At a later period Yahweh functioned as the dynastic cult (the god of the royal house),[4] the royal courts promoting him as the supreme god over all others in the pantheon, notably Baal, El, and Asherah (the last of whom may have been his consort).[5] Over time Yahwism became increasingly intolerant of rivals, and the royal court and temple promoted Yahweh as God of the entire cosmos, possessing all the positive qualities previously attributed to the other gods and goddesses.[4][5] With the work of Second Isaiah (the theoretical author of the second part of the Book of Isaiah) towards the end of the Babylonian exile (6th century BCE), the very existence of foreign gods was denied, and Yahweh was proclaimed as the creator of the cosmos and true God of all the world.[5]

By early post-biblical times the name of Yahweh had ceased to be pronounced. In modern Judaism it is replaced with the wordAdonai, meaning Lord, and is understood to be God's proper name and to denote his mercy.[6] Christian Bibles follow the Jewish custom and replace it with "the Lord".

Christ (/krst/) (ancient Greek: Χριστός, Christós, meaning 'anointed') is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), the Messiah, and is used as a title for Jesus in the New Testament.[3][4] In common usage, "Christ" is generally treated as synonymous with Jesus of Nazareth.[4][5]

Jesus came to be called "Jesus Christ", meaning "Jesus the Christos", by his followers after his death and believed resurrection.[6][7]Before, Jesus was usually referred to as "Jesus of Nazareth" or "Jesus son of Joseph".[6] In the epistles of Paul the Apostle, the earliest texts of the New Testament,[8] Paul most often referred to Jesus as "Jesus Christ", "Christ Jesus", or "Christ".[9] The followers of Jesus became known as Christians (as in Acts 11:26) because they believed Jesus to be the Messiah (Christos) prophesied in the Hebrew Bible,[10][7] for example in the Confession of Peter. Christ was originally a title, but later became part of the name "Jesus Christ", though it is still also used as a title, in the reciprocal use Christ Jesus, meaning "The Messiah Jesus".[11]

Jesus was and is not accepted by Jews as their Messiah.[12] The Jewish people still await the Messiah's first coming, while Christians await the Second Coming of Christ, when they believe he will fulfill the rest of Messianic prophecy.[13] Muslims accept Jesus as the Messiah (known as Isa al-Masih) but not as the Son of God.[14]

The area of Christian theology called Christology is primarily concerned with the nature and person of Jesus Christ as recorded in the canonical gospels and the letters of the New Testament.[15]
