A very good female friend of mine is pregnant right now, and we came to talk about ....you know, the tragedy from 1996, in Prince and Mayte's 's private life. (No need to comment too much on that),

There's a pic: Prince sitting by a table in a Kids room in Paisley Park, with some kids toys on the table, iirc..

A beautiful pic but also touching, and sad, when you know what happened.

I would like to show my friend this pic.


Can you help me, posting it here ---- it could be a scan from a 1996/97 calender.

IIRC it's in the Emancipation lyric book (the A4 sized softback).

It's odd the other day I though OMG this boy would be 16 years old now and I wondered what influence this would have had on Prince's music being a father for 16 years... and I also really felt sad for what happened to him and Mayte and the baby, RIP. I wanted to post about it but I felt probably some people here would say really unpleasant things and neither Prince nor Mayte need to read crap about it. Sorry to bring this up BTW I know it wasn't the thread's topic.

Wow, never thought about this recently, but seeing these, now that I have a soon-to-be three year old. it definitely hits home. Not sure how long it would have taken me to come to terms with having your expected child die having created a room like that.

Those pics are really beautiful, and quite heartbreaking.

On a lighter note, goddamn seeing him at more or less the age I am now (38) sure makes me feel old. He looks so damn young!
