This is a valid point. I still say you give the first 25 to Tony M, but we extend the list to 28 slots: #26 goes to Carmen, TC gets 27 and we will put little man at 28.

See, of you judge his songs as hip-hop rap, they suck. But then, so would the Last Poets, JB and GC and even Grandmaster Flash without all of whom there would be no rap.
Prince's spoken songs and spoken parts to songs are usually cool and even innovative, original and funky EXCEPT when he's TRYING to rap hiphop style.

Correct me if I'm wrong - didn't the Cat rap from A.S. predate that annoying trend to incorporate pointless raps into songs? I think it did it much better too (unlike the crappy attempts on Rave) - hidden in the album version and in a distinct original style.

I always claimed that P doesn't rap, he has spoken verse. Still love the bit at the end of LPWM, for example.
