I've been listening to them in this order and IMO it feels like they flow together perfectly.

Maybe will release his next album as a combo pack like he did his ex Bria! 3rd Girl would get better exposure that way. Plus give them instant distribution & a debut half a million sold album like Bria.

Yeah, I've thought he might do that. I have mixed feelings about the idea. I liked the Bria album, and for me getting it along with the other two albums was cool--but considering how many people here on the org (and in a number of reviews) seemed somehow angry about having it "forced on" them and then refused to even listen to it, I wonder if it might do the 3rd Eye project a disservice to tie it to a Prince project. Even if reviewers weren't annoyed with the album's inclusion, few seemed to actually consider it worth more than a sentence or two along the lines of "And there's this album by some girl he might be sleeping with"--it just seemed so dismissive, and the marketing of it as just part of the package seemed to set her up for it. I didn't understand the reaction to the Bria thing, but I think that sort of dual packaging might make people consider 3rd Eye Girl as a lesser piece of music if done that way.

A lot of people never gave Andy a chance (and I think they missed something there too) but they didn't seem angry like they did with Elixer. And I think the independent release might have been part of that. If we got Supernatural it was our choice, and we listened to it. Too many copies of Elixer never got played, or never really got listened to.

Quite funky....sounds a bit like 'Johnny' with the Bob George style rap and has a touch of 'MPLS' in it. It also sounds similar to one of the 2001 NPGMC tracks but it is quite original in a way and I like the horns in it....

Seems like this is definitely aimed at Bria although if he releases a song like this it obviously shows he DOES care LOL or else he'd be apathetic about it.

Prince debuted "Ain't Gonna Miss U When U're Gone" on his website, a six-minute tune that features singer/songwriter Ledisi.

The song is available for purchase... Girl site, making it the latest in a string of tracks the Pu...ped online. Most recently, he released "FIXURLIFEUP" in May. The tracks are rumored to be on an album that's (also rumored) to be titled "Plectrum Electrum."

Prince also completed a slew of tour dates and performed an extended set...c Festival, where he kept the crowd up until 3 a.m.

Janelle Monae recently announced that Prince would be featured on her album. As NME notes, it's unclear what role h...'s project, but her second disc, "The Electric Lady," will also feature Miguel and Erykah Badu. ""We are great friends, and he is a mentor to us, to me," Monae said of Prince. "It's a beautiful thing to have a friend - someone who cares about your career, and wants to see you go far and to push boundaries and shake up the world - give whatever they possibly can to the cause."

I doubt it's about Andy. It obviously seems more about Jill Jones, more than any of his other ex-proteges, especially since JJ is known for posting bitter rants about him on her FB page, and I don't think that's the only site she posts those kinds of rants. But besides all that, the song is a cool, funkified track and I like Ledisi's participation in the song too.

But I agree with you, Prince can hopefully do better, this track is after all not that great. There's nothing to remember about it, soon to be forgotten. HOPEFULLY a new Cd will have more and better quality songs on it. Lets cross fingers and prey for that, once again.

Ah yes the Days of Wild Past -- some never quite got over the post-Mayte years and had to close their Mayte Shrine and live off endless nostalgic musings of what might have been IF ONLY....but alas.. never will be again forevevermore.

I saw that also. She is Prince's type so it would be a no brainer if they dated. It made me wonder why we havent seen her on his tours. She seems like a real good dancer and fits in looks wise. I would have thought this song was a jab at Bria if I had to guess. A protege from the 80's doesnt make sense, but who knows.

Because Prince is all about not revisiting the past. Its really hard to say who inspired the track since Prince is notoriously private with his personal life. For all we know it could be some one we dont know of.

(Bolded part)Yes that is true, and it's no secret that many of his songs in the past, have centered around some of his relationships. but that also doesn't mean some of his ex-associates have been that private about their relationship(s) with him. It's anyone's guess but I still think it's about someone from his past. Just my two cents, and it's okay if you don't agree.

It's kind of like he did already, but better than R.Thicke's 'Blurred Lines', which Thicke's vid seems like a copycat of Vanity 6 in lingerie, but Prince's Vanity 6's 'Nasty Girl' track sounds better.

Oh ok. That kind of happened to my with the 'Plectrum Electrum' vid. I bought it, and opened it to view, but never downloaded it, and somehow I lost it. So yes, It would be so much easier if these tracks could be purchased on Amazon with their 'one-click' purchase system or on itunes.

Hmm, so if he did write a song about how he "ain't gonna miss u(when u'r gone)" about some lil GF from the 80s, after plowing through a couple wives and model GFs. Kind of like say "I miss U!" imo. 20+ years later and someone from the 80s can still get under his skin??

I don't really buy the theory. But if Prince is writing FU songs "Ain't gonna miss u" about some chick from the 80s, I think issues.

Do any of you even remember much about your GFs from 80s? 90s? Heck, I dated girls and can't remember names and places. I forgot all the birthdays. I can't remember fueds. Over it long ago. Don't give it much thought, pay no mind. Who knows though?? Right?
