Actually it's not that surprising for you to say that.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I'd like him tio play with someone totally out of left field for him. I dunno...Mumford and Sons? Radiohead? Coldplay? Ed Sheeran?

Just somebody who he will make a contribution to, help them or give advice. I get the whole "i prefer to play with women becuz they have less egos than men" but you really have to admit.....he's intimidated by male musicians especially badasses.

I am 100% with you Nurse, hug

Since I did not knew her, I had a listen on iTunes.... "Cold War" came up as her biggest hit. confused

Her music bores me, I don't like that genre at all. Sound like the standard r'n'b plastic produced "music" you will find on VH1 (and in the night time on MTV)....

Yeah I No... I am over 40, I am too old for that. Maybe it's too "modern", I prefer old music, created the old way. wink

first her biggest hit from the archandroid was tightrope not cold war...and of course I disagree because I literally adore her music she is one of the best artists out there. but even if I didn't like her I would recognize she is a true artist..and last her music is not really R & b ( only few songs of hers are really R&B she is very versatile and truly has her own sound made of a blending of funk, soul, rock, r&b, rap, jazz, classical music and sometimes even folk influences) and sure plastic is not something that can define her she is a real artist one of the few in this generation in control of everything in her music from the songwriting to the production, from her live performances to her videos..and she is clearly not move by making music to sell she always said the most important goal for her career was to have her own label ( like she has the wondaland arts society) and being in control of her art..she IS NOT plastic...if she is plastic what are rihanna beyonce and company ??

funny you say this because janelle monae' s music is created in the old way real intruments and all..but of course she has a modern twist she is a contemporary artist..

ED Sheeran just made a song with Taylor Swift confused but I don't see Prince making featurings with Mumford and sons, they have totally different styles the song could turn out really bad...but a lot of times artists have the tendency to work with other artists in a similar genre or in a similar music culture as their not just Prince...I see Prince working with people like Lenny Kravitz, Janelle Monae, D'Angelo, Cee Lo ...artists like that..

Most of the people who dont like Janelle... love artists like Chris Brown or Rihanna lol lol Which is why I dont pay the distractors any mind. People are entitled to their opinion but that is a little ridiculous in my eyes being that her music is more creative and she can actually sing.

Anyway, I am very excited for this project biggrin

everyone is entitled to have opinions of course but someone try to diminish her talent saying she makes generic music when she is making totally the opposite..it's not hating it's called being realistic lol ...she is way more talented than most of her peers...

for me is the total opposite for example his adore single was basically sexual healing..no particular originality there..but Miguel will be in the janelle's record as well in a song that apparently is amazing( said so the people who already listened to it= so maybe janelle will make me like miguel this time) wink

Just big name artist performing together. U know the grammys make things happen lol contrary to popular belief Prince did not form my musical taste lol being from motown did that and Prince just happened to be one of the musical talents I like. I agree that he should work with men and change it up.

I feel so much okay if Janelle's music is not everybody's cup of tea.. and i respect someone who states something negative about The ArchAndroid or Janelle as a female artist with reasonable arguments.. But people who just say she's got no style, or she's not authentic, or some might say she's ugly.... That's just silly, Janelle is pretty much what saves female music today, I believe the whole world can't stand Rihanna's voice, or Katy Perry's, or anybody out there in the radio for like 4 seconds... Even Beyoncé who once had a beautiful voice with sweet vocals is now doing the same songs with same R&B/tradditionl instrumentals and backbeats we saw in 4/I am Sasha Fierce which is pretty much why Beyoncé now is 2004's Beyoncé... Nothing changed, she's repeating herself in everyway... Unlike Janelle who made a very sci-fi twist on her album, just the word "Sci-fi" is meaning so much, somebody who'd buy The ArchAndroid and listen to that beautifully composed music, that space-ish sound, and then the cool/groovy sound of Tightrope for example, he'd feel the art in that, the sounds are just pure... and Original, and i care for people who bring something original each time they release an LP.. I respect Janelle and I assmue in this very moment she'd SLAY with her new album, I have this feeling that it's about TIME! razz

beyonce seems to sing always the same song from quite some time lol ...you're sooo right .and of course I totally agree about Janelle ... wink but if sadly I saw people criticize her authenticity confused I never saw someone criticize her beauty ( not more over being irritated by the suites and her look) but generally also these persons recognize she is a doll..

Janelle is a Masterpiece!! yes Her energy is top level and her music is amazing!! No female artist that I've heard lately sings out the conviction in her heart and soul like Janelle does. Her passion and beliefs are beautifully displayed through the creation of her music. It sounds fun, upbeat and revolutionary.

I love her style, her dance moves, her uniform, her sound and beat expressing the things she cares about. The only artist out there, imo, that can compare or exceed Janelle, right now is Prince guitar

When I first heard Janelle I noticed that I related to her in a way that I did with Prince music sun The groove felt spot on and it felt new and exciting, something setting them apart from other muscians out there. The feelings, the emotions, the message, the dilemma, the drama, and the hope that I find in Prince's music all reasonate.

They hit the target It feels like the whole chior, and many acts in a play are included with each song that these top 2 muscians create. I can't wait headbang peace heart
