Oh Lord. I noticed on 6/2 you quoted a Bible scripture about Harmony on twitter. Praise may be a tool but a tool is not only praising. We should "live in harmony with one another" and if people want to study the Bible fine. Most people will only want to study the Bible with Prince because he's Prince. Didn't he try it years ago at Paisley Park? Kevin Smith talked about it.

I'm brainwashing my hubbie about Prince's music, so it doesn't seem so strange to me razz

The Bible is interesting, it influenced wastern culture a lot one way or another, so religious proselitism apart, it could be an interesting thing to study. I'm not a JW, nor exceptionally religious, but it doesn't surprise or scare me that someone study the Bible and wants to share his toughts on it.

---Because you are not a self righteous nut. All Christian denominations reach out to people Prince could be a Baptist and would still conduct bible studies.

Is this some sort of a reference to the new community in development thread a while back? I mean, ever since Tammy Faye Bakker passed, no one has been able to talk bible with as much style and mascara. The world is definitely missing out!

Prince Bible Spreecast?

That's awesome. Tons of people would tune in just to see. Then by the third month, he would have about five people watching and one of them would be Larry. Oh, and Tina.

Loony religious cult brainwashing - Official definition. nutty

Thanks, but I must be slow because I don't understand your definition because your definition seems to infer that only people who believe in the existence of a God can be brainwashed. Yet, there are examples of cult brainwashing that are not based on religion, and many are strictly political. But, thanks anyway.

Yeah, I don't see it as "sad"..... It just means he is still very much a JW...

I don't think that the "sad" part of this story is the fact that he asked George Lopez to study the bible with him. I mean, that's not my bag, but whatever. He has every right to practice whatever religion he chooses, and ask his friends and acquaintances to join him in his style of worship.

The sad part is that when George got sick and couldn't go through with it, Prince allegedly told him that he didn't believe he was sick and instead believed that the devil was actively keeping George from participating. I mean that's just fucking loony... and sad.

I think Prince was trying to cause George to fear something or feel guilty for not participating. Maybe it was his way of telling him he didn't believe he was really sick? If so, Prince was rude towards George. Prince could have felt offended to think George was lying to him and wasn't in the mood to study the Bible that particular day. I wonder how he's going to feel after he finds out George shared this true story. Well, it's George's life and he's only telling a true story about a fanatical experience he had with Prince. It's sad to know he tried a JW scare technique on him.

Well as being a JW myself....I would love to have a bible study with him. I would ne so honered to share ky religion with him knowin he wouldn't shut me out. I'm not an overly zealous JW at all. All people think of when they thunk of us is..a cult and being very forcful. You all are meeting the wrong omes. I sure hope one day some of you may meet some mild ones instead of meeting the loonies. *sigh*

We aren't bad people. But to answer your Q I would totally love to study with him & get his point of are religion from his point of view.
