So I've got this Controversy remix (3:43) on my computer. I'm not sure where it came from, but it's labeled as being a Kirk J. remix--but in looking at Princevault and around other places I don't see any indication that Kirk did a Controversy remix. It really doesn't seem to be any good. Is there anything making the rounds as a Kirk J. Controversy--and if there is, is it really Kirk or someone else in the Prince camp, or is it some outside remix?

In other words, should I keep it as a completist, or can I trash can this travesty?

It's from the 'Versace & Other Experiences' unoffical release (different from 'The Versace Experience').

I suspected as much. Kirk's stuff isn't what I'd call inspired, but this didn't feel like it was the same kind of thing. Thanks.
