Well there you go.................Prince is directing his new music at the wrong market.......................

I heard his reaction, and he seems quite positive about it.

Screw Driver is a good song!

My nephew, who's 5 who LOVESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Michael Jackson, btw. LOL

When I usually play Prince, it's like he gets sad and always tells me how he does not like Prince (Unless I air guitar to him..lol)...Than he wants to listen to 'Nagoya' lol

He loves Screw Driver though, he keeps saying "I'm the driver and you're my screw'. Haha. He really loves the song, and keeps asking me to play it. It's obviously a song even kids can dig, Prince sings it very animated. It's a step in the right direction cause it gives him airplay on radio...

Now you see, when he brings it LIVE, he's going to turn all heads to it! That's when he brings it!

He could make a killing as a childrens entertainer...............yeah.....................like the missing Wiggle..........Wake Up Prince!!!!

He needs to get his foot in soon as the Wiggles are disbanding.........

I mentioned my nephew, but I am a fan of it as well. biggrin

I don't think this song is designed to cater to a particular market. It's just music, I don't find Prince being a children's entertainer as well. It's just a song! AND He's awaken up!

"Everyday when I wake up, I got 2 make up, a new reason 2 make it last"

Maybe he directed that to some of the fans, lol. Cause whatever Prince does, he seems to have to make up another reason to make him last. lol

It's Button Therapy, Baby!

I really wish Prince would release the live version of this song.....even though I only saw that one little clip of it...it was so so so much better than the studio version. I was actually surprised Howard liked it. pleasantly surprised but suprised none the less.

and to what his face who said howard a kiss ass...pfft! please! he said he liked the song and then proceeded to bash him for the next few minutes.

Imo it would be genius if he sent Howard a copy "Screwdriver(live)" to play on the air. People love or hate Stern but he has millions of people that listen. If Howard says positive things about P's music it's a good thing...reaches millions and his fans are loyalists. I'm sure he would even bash him for sending the trach but as long as they continue to talk about Prince it keeps his name out there.

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

Howard Stern and Perez Hilton chiming in on a track that has yet to be released to radio and known only to diehards who still visit a Prince fan site. It's not about Howard or Perez being ass-kissers, it's about them being greased to say something nice.

Stern is huge fan of Rolling Stone mag and the song has been included in some of the music news emails they send out to subscribers.

He more or less started the show today ... and said he heard a new Prince song and liked it ... called it "retro" and ... played it .

He then went on about Prince's crazy ways ... how silly it is to do an interview and make the person doing the interview just "remember" everything they talk about ... etc ...

He said Prince reminds him of the taliban ... next he is just gonna hijake the interviewer and put a blindfold over his head .... lol lol razz razz confused confused

The taliban? lol

Anyways, Stern is a shock jock, so.... shrug lol Heard the song, and well I can't say that I'm too crazy about it.

I"ll admit it .. the song has grown on me sum . At first I think i was like "oh great a song i cant even play in front of my kids " ... but after lookin at the lyrics alil more .... wel ... lol

the taliban reference : you have to remember - Howard is a Prince fan . He has admitted it numerous times . A few years ago - Prince threw some party in a large suite (it may have been when "3121" came out ? and HOward was invited and he was looking forward to it ... small party .... celebrity types ....

Well the story that HOward told - was Prince started playing and wanted all the lights out .... so people could just hear the music and Howard said "what kinda nimrod goes and plays in the dark and i cant see anything so i said I am outta here" and he left ....

that is the kinda Prince stories HOward tells ... although I still think Howard would love to have Prince appear on his show in some way ...

I believe after the Superbowl performance - howard did say it was the best Superbowl performance ever ...

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

would really love to hear Howard interview Prince. we'll finally get one that will be devoid of all of Prince's bullshit riddles. if he doesn't get up and walk out. which he will.

I've thought about it soooo many times, it could be so great or it could be a complete disaster.

If Prince would just go in relaxed and have fun with it, it would be awesome. Just laugh off the questions about who he's slept with and howard will move on. It seems the bigger deal people make about not wanting to answer those questions the bigger deal howard will make about asking them more.

"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

Releasing better music is more like it.

While that would help it's media over saturation that matters now. There's plenty of good music out there that doesn't have the multi-platform support needed to succeed $$ wise.

Well there is only one thing for it: "Prince In Spaaaaaaaace!"

A Science Fiction epic directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Sure it worked for Sting with David Lynch's Dune? And Flash Gordon didn't hurt Queen too much plus Brian May's a bleedin' cosmologist sort of - maybe P could play the computer in that Iain M. Banks' Culture doo-dah?

Or has he already? Nah.
