Exactly what I thought! Hearing this song after his recent new ones (RNR Affair, Screwdriver) shows once again how incredibly versatile Prince is - both as a songwriter and singer. Someone who does not know him would never ever believe those three songs are by the same artist. His voice is just ... wow. Sounds like a track that can be used as part of a soundtrack for a romance movie. Very catchy and has a wee bit, just a wee bit of a bossa nova beat in the song.

On a different note, I wonder if Prince and Andy would ever consider doing a reggae track together, especially since Andy has sung covers of some of Bob Marley's songs. That would be different.

okay, thanks for reminding me of some songs that I have not heard in a long time.

BUT I don't consider U got the look or Manic Monday to be love ballads ... and females singing in the background don't count.

Something as beautiful as this duet with Andy ... I cannot recall ... so tender and - oh, that voice, that incredible vocal delivery of Prince! For me, it does not compare to anything else ... as far as duets of his are concerned that I know of.
