Prince Interview 1980 (Rare Audio)

This is a very fascinating interview. He talks more about his music than at any point in his career and his upbringing. [Snip no no no! - luv4u]

This was an amazing interview. It's funny to notice how much has changed and how much hasn't changed in terms of his worldview. He was a pretty insightful kid with interesting ways of looking at the world. I also appreciated the candor with which he discussed his upbringing (minus the lie about his mom being white). Great interview...definitely check it out!

Several things that stuck out: He lied about his age. He said he would be turning 21 in June. If there interview was conducted in 1980, he would have been 22. He said he didn't want to be in a movie, that he would get into something else after his 3rd album and that according to him his mother wasn't a good singer in his father's band.
