This Dosen t Sound like Prince! Like someone Said it before, He Never had that 70s discosound! (the only One i can think of is the Song chelsea Rogers from Planet Earth)
Its really Doesn t Match the vocals! I dont think that a Musician like Prince Would do that... it Sound like non Musician did it ( maybe a dj )
The original Version is a Great Pop Song - that Lot of People really enjoy!!! Me including!!!
How this wasn't included in the E.P. is still a mystery to me. Every single remix on the E.P. sucked and this remix was pretty decent. IF prince rerecorded the vocals to match the song this would have been easily one of my top 20 prince songs of the last ten years. Man the E.P. Sucked haha.

I agree. The problem with the remix is that he just cut and paste the vocal from the original. I know that's what a remix is, but the problem is that the lazy vocal doesn't suit the more driving groove. He should have re-recorded them too with more oompff. That would have made this track really slammin'. Instead, it comes across as a bit of a waste.

Agree! But this mix is way better than any of the others, including the original.

If you don't dig this as a Prince fan you never dug the man....
What an absurd comment. There are people that have gone to 50-100 Prince concerts in their life that don't like certain songs. Some of these people have spent tons of money on Prince, so that makes them fake fans because they don't like this sparse, sometimes funky little throwaway? I like the song, but I'm shocked anyone could say that...

Exactly. That comment is actually disturbing on many levels.

Actually Prince's first crossover hit was the disco sounding Wanna b ur lover...
Now 'RNR Remix 7' muziq track is a classic sounding purple "MasterPiece" which should be used with different vocals 2 create a new xperience...
will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.
there are some songs by prince that have some disco influences. but the one that had that typical sound is chelsea...
I wanna be your lover is a popsong, with some funk thrown in...
compare it to the rnr remix....

Ok...................i would probably throw myself about on the dance floor if i was intoxicated and if the club was full.................When I hear this song and the remix I just picture old people doing line dancing with their zimmer frames and comfy shoes..................remix....old people doing it faster.....................................
Sorry if I offended anybody..............nah Im not really..........
The best Prince remix's i love are Black Sweat.......... Shhhhhhhh and I would die for You.....
I would love Mr N to pair up with a proper female opera singer who could match his astounding range........................and backed by an orchestra..................just my thoughts..............
sick of the same old same old....
cheers
Max
Shhh and Black Sweat had official remixes??? When?
But i like this mix better than the jamie lewis remixes on the cd single
agreed. i don't understand why he puts such lame remixes by others on
his singles when his own remixes or alternate takes are always infinitely
more interesting.
if there'd be a single with a few prince mixes and dubs etc, i'd be very
interested, no matter what song or if i liked the original a lot or not.
but these outside producer remixes just sound a dime a dozen and they
are totally uninteresting.
Those Jamie Lewis, et. al., remixes are the only reason these singles are being released, if we're being honest. That's why this Purple Music label is even involved.
