I know it's a long shot, but if there's a new album, I hope this version of R&R is the one that's on it. I never took to the song until this remix.

Ok...................i would probably throw myself about on the dance floor if i was intoxicated and if the club was full.................When I hear this song and the remix I just picture old people doing line dancing with their zimmer frames and comfy shoes..................remix....old people doing it faster.....................................

Sorry if I offended anybody..............nah Im not really..........

The best Prince remix's i love are Black Sweat.......... Shhhhhhhh and I would die for You.....

I would love Mr N to pair up with a proper female opera singer who could match his astounding range........................and backed by an orchestra..................just my thoughts..............

sick of the same old same old....

cheers

Max

agreed. i don't understand why he puts such lame remixes by others on

his singles when his own remixes or alternate takes are always infinitely

more interesting.

if there'd be a single with a few prince mixes and dubs etc, i'd be very

interested, no matter what song or if i liked the original a lot or not.

but these outside producer remixes just sound a dime a dozen and they

are totally uninteresting.

The vocals don't match the track but if they did this would be killer. IT's very Prince 80s and to me it's his best sounding prince 80s like sound of the decade.

well, you know, i didn't want to be too harsh lol you never know if jamie lewis

is checking our response to his mixes and he's not used to the 'org treatment'.

prince's skin is so thick by now you'll need a grenade launcher to get through,

but a newbie like jamie lewis. man the org will cut him deep falloff

but yeah, to be honest, unlistenable is the right word biggrin

I prefer the original but this is pretty good and it's growing on me. I still don't think the vocal delivery suits the backing track but other than that I really like it.

Found it! I like this version way better than the released single. Where is this coming from? Haven't heard or read anything about it yet...

What is up with that laserdrop sound though? It is very much upfront in the mix, it irritates me to be honest!

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

It's perhaps one of the most sucessful contemporary updates of Prince's 80's sound. To me, it's '1999' brought into the present in a way that's not comprimising or 'selling out'.I assume Prince is responsible for this particular remix, and if he is, I'd very much like to hear more of this kind of production.

yeahthat Actually, I think the track is strong enough to warrant its own song. Seems odd that this wouldn't be on the maxi, too. Though Stella's tweet implied that it wasn't quite finished.

I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't care for about this and then it hit me: he lifted the synth line from (There'll Never B) Another Like Me. That is one of my least favorite tracks on Mplsound - and I don't like the treatment here any better.

Although I really LOVE the Rock and Roll Love Affair (Original Mix) I am seriously digging this remix7 version! It's got a sweet groove and stands out on it's own. The original version of the song is my favorite but this has to be a close second.

I can't help but feel that this version reminds me of something the George Michael might have or will do. It's got nice funk and disco flavors over the original pop essence of the song. GREAT JOB PRINCE!

The best "groove" I've heard from Prince in a minute....It sounds throwback, but at the same time new and TODAY....Bassline is nuts...

If dude releases an album this year, this version of R&R needs to be on it....It makes the original version sound like a warmed over, going-through-the-motions demo....

If you don't dig this as a Prince fan you never dug the man....

Love it!! Keep playing it again and again and again. The bass line and guitar and lots of elements of classic Prince.

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

The music added to it cannot be Prince. It is not his sound. The disco sound is not him. I think someone added their own music. Prince just doesn't sound like this.

I do like this one a LITTLE bit better than the original (which I didn't like at all). But I can still take it or leave it. Mostly leave it.
