Patti LaBelle, who sang a standout performance of Angel Of Harlem at the Bono tribute Friday, has an A-list of collaborators lined up for her new album. "I started with Wyclef (Jean) and Denise Rich, and I'm working with Rodney Jerkins and Lenny Kravitz, and Prince -- we've talked about some things. Nice to see that they are still on good terms. Yo Mister and I Hear Your Voice are two of the finest songs that Prince has ever given another artist.
I suspected things may have gone awry when he wasn't on the bill of artists performing for her "tribute" gala last year. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! |
