He did SLG in Kopenhagen last year or so.

Wowugotit

I hate it when he does U Got The Look. It's just not the same without Sheena Easton singing the chorus.

Thanks. I knew he'd done it but couldn't remember when.

Played it twice in London 2002

Once on drums during the soundcheck and also during the aftershow at the Marquee the same night

The Dance.

Aww.

I would actually seek out an unofficial copy of this if one existed.

Love that song. Just lovely.

There was an instrumental version done at the start of one of the London aftershows in 2007. Prince wasn't performing and no singing. Might have been just Renato on the piano.

*edit* knew I was there for it! The aftershow following the September 13th concert. Opened with The Dance instrumental, then into Around In The World In a Day followed by Beautiful Strange. Good times smile

You know this is what happens to PRODIGAL fans... I have NEVER been to an aftershow... and now at this point in his life/career.... I may never get the opportunity. Last time Prince came to Detroit 2004, there was no aftershow.

Now you have to travel to Las Vegas, Los Angeles or New York to see him.

I am beginning to think a big tour like Musicology is not going to happen again.

The problem is....we only get piano medleys. I want a full version of When Doves Cry, Diamonds and Pearls, Adore and may others. I am so tired of Lets Go Crazy and Kiss. I wouldn't pay a dollar to see him perform those songs again. Trust me...I have stood hours and spent money on this dude...so I'm not the casual fan.

He always says “so many hits, so little time”…..PLEASE, PLEASE PLAY THEM!!!!!!

FYI – “So many hits, so little time” comment is funny to hear from someone who doesn’t care about a #1 album or awards. LOL!!!

Would love to hear full versions (with band, lights, dance, etc.) of:

17 Days

Strange Relationship

Adore

LoveSexy

I am surprise he doesn’t sing “New Power Generation”

Diamonds and Pearls

Jughead

The Most beautiful Girl in the world

Betcha By Golly Wow

Come On

Call my Name

Just to name a few……

I need u to grind like Ur working for tips

It is a surprise that he doesn't perform full version of Adore. I am really surprised to hear that.

I wondering if he doesn't really perform songs that have romantic sentimental memories.

Because a lot of those songs you have mentioned have been reported to have been written about different women. Susannah, Mayte, Mani.

Double edge sword to putting your feelings down on paper in a song. Once you get past that experience, there is that song that perfectly describes your feelings and heartache you felt at the time just ready to thrust you right back to that mind set.

If that song became a hit, now you have your fans begging you to revisit bad feelings/memories.
