Took several listens to I'm Yours yesterday and this song is slamming! For one of his first recorded songs it is definitely underrated. It has some superb guitar playing on it and his vocals are killer. I have put it up there with some of my fav Prince songs What cha think?

Great song and album.

It's a punchy album ending! Every time I get to this song, it's like, whoa! I definitely think the instrument playing is more "center stage" than the vocals, which kind of fall into the mix for me a bit. BUT I love the scream-singing mid-way through the song. Can't have a Prince album without at least one scream!

was just listening to 'Im Yours' it's one of my favourite songs from the For You album, me & my mom both love the guitar playing on this song my mom thinks its his best guitar song its definatly in the top 10 for best guitar playing from Prince love his voice on this song too

I love this song for the instrumental and vocals.

See that's what makes me love it-you think the album is ending then Prince gives you a jolt! His voice, the guitar and the scream are fantastic.

It's kind of crazy to think lil o' Prince recorded this whole thing!

I LOVE THAT GUITAR! THE BASS IS POPPING! His drums are also on point!!!

I heard some people say this was 'Simple' in structure..now I am no musician, and so I haven't a clue what's simple or complex when it comes to music per se..But to say it's just Prince..I like to think this is some GOOD STUFF!! lol

ALL I can think about is how one of Prince's first managers, first heard this and told one of the guys.."WOW; this band is tight, who is playing the drums and guitar?" Then he said, when it was told to him it was just ONE guy; that is when "He knew he had to sit down, and hear more about this guy".

Hahaha..Come on! This riff is crazy and this song is totally popping! One of my favorites of all time! I loved it when he played it for the ONLY time in 2009...that scream he gave at the beginning had me CRAZY! It was just too good..lol

This is a guitar hero song that Prince needs to play in concert more! It straights rock and not only that, listen to how Prince kills the bass at the end. That boy is funky. This and his other early rockers like Bambi rivaled the best true rockers of the late 70's and early 80's. They were just hidden because he was supposed to be a R&B act.

I remember CBS used the opening guitar solo for the NBA in the early 80's to open the games when they can on.

The vocals are a little quiet for my tastes. Like at the beginning, I can't tell when he stops making scat-singing noises and gets to the actual lyrics.

When I had my two turntables set up, I would make these awesome mix tapes. By complete accident , I had "I'm Yours" on one and "Bambi" on the other. At the very end of "I'm Yours" (the very last note right after that little rhythm guitar part), I started "Bambi," exctacly at the same time and it sounds like one continuous song. It gave me goose bumps and I can only listen to those two songs that way!
