i actually kind of liked all the rehearsals that were posted these last few months,

but they had something in common that i couldn't quite put my finger on.

until it hit me just a minute ago: the sound of his music is starting to go back to

the "emancipation" style. except with even less depth to the sonics.

now i'm scared

For someoe who said the Internet was dead, he sure has put a lot of music on the net in the last several monts. The may be rehersals but it is still a release (sort of). When will he but out a new full ablum? Next month marks two years since 20Ten cam out.

That remark was taken out of context. Prince didn't really mean it was dead. He meant everybody was using it like its not the new rave anymore...Prince is always misunderstood. Which is why I'm glad he does email interviews now..

I'm glad you were able to hear it......but I told you, I told you, I told you!!!!! It's like 2-hour old shit on the sidewalk in summer. It just sits there and STINKS! And then, he even had the nerve to throw in Wild & Loose too.

Yes, the Montreal version is better, but it's still not my cup of tea, as you well know. But this, he should've kept at Paisley.

Prince explained that he meant that the internet was dead as a way to distribute music because iTunes and other online outlets wouldn't pay him the advance he demanded and because of online piracy. Nothing about it not being "the new rave anymore".

That said, here he is distributing music on the internet... and I'm loving it!

its not like the greatest song ever here but enjoying it after more spins. i like it. so far out of the rehearsals 'dance electric' is my favorite this is second. im just greatful P is throw this stuff to us been too long since a new studio album.

I'm (probably like many), hot and cold about these new versions...

On first listen, the first thing that comes to mind, is the lack of punch that all these songs have in rehearsals. After hearing the live version of Dance electric, I went back to rehearsal and still felt the same, but they're not terrible, they're just lacking and it's nice to have Prince release 10/20 minute jams for free and they'll never live up to previous versions because that's the way it is.

Just praying that I get to see these songs live with full force punch

wish prince would get up on his falsetto would of brought htis song up but i think its great, i dont think iv heard the 1995 version, cant think why!!!! but super funky

Can't believe all the hate these jams are getting! They are simply rehearsal jams!!! It gives us a great insight into how these amazing tunes are shaped into live performances. I was lucky enough to see Dance Electric/Mutiny/Days of Wild over the past few weeks in Australia at concerts and aftershows. Of course, the live versions take things to a ridiculous level. If you don't have a Prince show in your neighbourhood though, these jams are not a bad substitute. Just imagine them live!!!

Nah, people are just getting bored with those gone by jams, and Andy Hello nonsense. I mean this is a Prince fan board, nobody is here for other Prince solo acts. He shoulda been investing all his energy for his own albums instead his acts on NPG roaster. It's just really simply lame ass. Andy is looking badass, but the consus on her music is mixed. I don't need Prince to tell what artists I gotta be fans of. I'm rather addicted to his voice, and that's what it is all about.

Listening to it now. I like it for a rehearsal jam. Nothing special though.
