He does not owe us shit. If he does bizarre stuff who cares. Hes given me enough in return to justify my meagre 21 years of fandom. I got to see him live, have most of his albums and can discuss him freely, and thats even before the biggest part, I can enjoy his music whenever I like.

I've been into for 3 years with varied levels of participation. In the 80s to early 90s, though far removed from Prince hype I really got a lot out of the music though. Fast forward 2009 - Twenty12 the backlog of music added to my collection has been an enrichment to my musical palette, to say the least.

Prince's originality, doing his own thing, not following the crowd, daring to dig deep into controversial stuff, be that sex or God is the reason why he's delivered such a variety of music. I think I understand Prince because we think alike on many matters, although not all. It's important to me that I have that kind of connection as it gives the music an extra dimension. That Prince has had his trials and tribulations in life is also important. It makes him human to me so I guess I will continue to be 'into' Prince no matter what he delivers. He's earned his 'keep' and respect from me.

I agree with mostly everything you've said, I just don't understand why you seem so pissed off and bitter with the world...
