Hot Chip recently covered Prince's "If I Was Your Girlfriend" for Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, the NJ Underground points out.

I liked the cover more than the original song, but all in all didn't really care for it.

Hot Chip ain't bad, but maybe they're covering Prince too closely by making this classic into a medley with some other trifling song. It deserves to stand on its own.

I love 'Down with Prince' by Hot Chip. Sounds more like an MPLSound track than anything on 20ten or Mplsound.

I don't like Hot Chip. Their geeky electro got on my nerves a bit after a friend played them a lot.

"Down With Prince" is a funky wee track though.

Despite my dislike of them, i'd rather have people like Hop Chip acknowledge Prince than most of the goons on TV talent shows.

Zane Lowe? I kinda know what you mean, but to be honest, his show is the only one with music worth listening to nowadays on Radio 1 (and then only about 30% of it), so I can put up with him for that
