What's that guitar effect Prince is using during his solo on Fly Away on the Rave DVD? That sound is bitchin but I don't know what the hell it is.

I'm not sure what part you mean, but it sounds like some classic, distortion/metalzone kinda thing.
Somewhere in the middle though it sounds like they turn up some guitar synth sound for a short period of time, but hey I'm not a expert on this.

You might get better traction in the "musicians" forum. Good luck, pedals are expensive.

Yea, I think it's the second solo? (I'll have to watch it again now). It's more than just distortion. It sounds like a guitar synth kinda thing. I'm wondering if that's flange or phaser or what? I'm really not trying to be a dick and bump this shit up on the front page forever, I just really want to know what that sound was.
